We picked up the bus outside the port gates as we were on a cruise. It was a very hot day so sat on lower part of bus, which restricts your view, as the upper deck did not have any shade from the sun. The bus trip is only about 40 minutes in duration goes up one way and returns the same way. They say it includes trip to Cathedral so we ventured off the bus and then had to wait at least 20 minutes outside the Cathedral to enter with other Hop On Hop Off travellers. When we left the Cathedral we just missed the bus and that would have entailed a 30 min wait so we caught the local No 2 bus. If you are visiting Cadiz on a cruise ship just exit through the gates and pick up the local No 2 bus which covers exactly the same route for Euros 1.10 per person and is airconditioned!

Besides this, we recommend downloading our City Sightseeing app where you can check every bus on the road locations, the different stops, etc. to avoid long waits.
We also encourage our passengers to have a look at the weather forecast before the trip and take the necessary measure to protect your selves from the heat wave.

I found this right past the cruise terminal gates. Had to wait 45 minutes for bus to fill up before we began our hour and fifteen minute drive around the city.
Was able to see all points of interest from the bus
Great value because it included tickets to the cathedral as well as the walking tour

La mejor opción para conocer Cádiz. En menos de 2 horas este tour pasa revista a la historia de la ciudad a medida que avanza por la costa. Y como es posible subir y bajar del autobús cada vez que sea necesario, es una forma realmente práctica de conocer Cádiz, porque si el recorrido se toma en la mañana, tras el recorrido completo es posible seguir aprovechando el bus para visitar los puntos que han resultado de interés. Además, incluye el excelente tour por la catedral. Algo que merece la
pena aprovechar. Una belleza.

It´s a decent bus trip, all in all. The route is a tad repetitive as half the route is covered twice. The information provided was not bad. Plenty of small additional perks are included in the ticket such as little leather freebees as well as a walking tour and cathedral access.

We have taken the hop on off bus in many cities and found this to be not just the most expensive but least worth while. Firstly I’ve just learned that our tickets included cathedral entrance. We were not advised of this. We were told the tour was 1hr 10 minutes long. It was not. I hate to say it because local business snd revenue is so important but this just felt like a complete waste of 50 euros. We could walk very quickly to everything and between everything. I’ve just also read today that we could have gotten discount in Lisbon the next day for using the same company. The communication was very poor. Cadiz is a beautiful place and we were there during carnival which made it even more so.

Five middle-aged friends took the tour after arriving at the cruise terminal on the Iona, and quite enjoyed it as it was quite a good way to see the city from an elevated viewpoint. The bus departed from right outside the cruise terminal, so very easy to find. The ticket also included entrance to the cathedral including the tower, so not bad value at all. One point however was that we took the same company’s buses next day in Lisbon and we found out when we paid in Lisbon, that if we had kept our tickets from Cadiz we would have gotten money off in Lisbon – a point the staff in Cadiz omitted to tell us.

Cruised into Cadiz on the Iona. Jumped on board, paid £50 for two of us and jumped off again near the cathedral. Most expensive taxi on the planet. Just a short walk to the Cathedral from the ship so do your research if you are on a cruise. We did jump back on to complete the tour but the headphones were not working and we would have done better to go back to the ship instead

All our buses have commentary, thanks to our multilingual audioguide, that allow you to discover fun facts about the city simply plugging your earphones into the sockets available. If for some reason a socket is not working we ask you notify our staff onboard so as to fix it as soon as possible.

The HOHO bus in Cadiz was perfect! Stop #1 was where our ship was docked, and also the entrance to the plaza. The plaza is one of the best we’ve visited, lots of tables outside restaurants at very reasonable prices.
There’s 16 stops on the circuit, the last one being a large mall. Really interesting concept for a mall, you can buy anything from cosmetics to washing machines.
The €25 ticket also includes a walking tour of the ancient city. Some of the oldest Roman ruins found anywhere.
We always do the HOHO on a cruise it’s the best way to see a city in a day. Some ports in the world are only worth a day.

This was an excellent way to get an overview of Cadiz with a comfortable, modern bus providing an excellent narrative on the journey around the key parts of the city. As a previous reviewer has stated, the cruise port is located very close to parts of the city but it gave my husband and I such a comprehensive and interesting view of our port of call, that we are keen to return and experience it for a longer stay.

When on a cruise, we always use the hop on hop off bus, as a way of getting a glimpse of the city.. As we have been here before, we just used it to hop on and off at various places, The Cathedral, The park, the Beach area.. The buses were quite regular in their running. We booked it along with a ticket for the Cathedral, the morning when our cruise boat docked. The buses can be busy when cruise boats are in.
