Amazing array of paintings in a well displayed and airy series of spaces. It was a Saturday afternoon when I visited and the tranquility converging with the beauty of the art made my visit even more compelling. What a wonderful place.

So I love the big London galleries and this is much more like that but with a bit of modern art thrown at the end but it was photographic art on our visit so relatively easy to relatively to. As this gallery is part of a group there is a fair bit sharing of pieces so will be a changing of exhibits. The periods and subjects covered felt well judged and really picked out the uniqueness driving the Spanish and Andalusian art when the paintings were created. I suspect the devoted could easily spend 4 hours taking it all it. There is a lot of good stuff to see and if you're around Sunday afternoon it's free

A gorgeous space with beautiful art. A serene oasis from the busy streets; not expensive or crowded. We opted for this museum instead of Picasso and so glad we did.

Obligatoria visita !!! Impresionante colección permanente pero también la colección temporal fue muy interesante. En el centro del casco histórico muy fácil de recorrer y entrada a buen precio.

We really enjoyed the Thyssen (slightly surprisingly). Coming from Norway, it was fascinating to observe scenes, themes and colors somewhat different from our local artists.

...of many, many, many mostly local (Andalysian) artists from the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century. A loooot of irritatingly bright and glossy landscapes and pictures from daily life, some nice darker pieces, all in all- if you are not an art buff or afficionado, you can skip, as 10 e is not so little. Nice shop. The security was a bit annoying, hovering over you if your backpack is not at your stomach, but your back or if you accidentaly step on a demarcation line...

Actividad imprescindible si viajas a Málaga por ocio. El museo está en pleno centro de la ciudad y alberga una gran colección de pintura, sobre todo andaluza que es muy interesante, así como de otros autores de talla internacional. Si el visitante pretende echar un vistazo general, sin detenerse en detalles, la visita puede durar una hora aproximadamente. Totalmente recomendable.
