Amazing Cathedral and Alcazar Tour with the best guide - Melissa
The tour started at 10am in the park near the Christopher Columbus monument. And we were lucky to have got Melissa as our tour guide! An absolutely entertaining, lively and super informative person, we did not have a single dull moment with her!
We went around the Santa Cruz neighborhood where we got to learn about the various communities that have lived there and about the oranges of Seville. Also a famous scent/perfume that is sold containing the orange essence/spring time smell (that's when the oranges blossom). Next we went around the Royal Alcazar of Seville - stunning palace! And then the Seville Cathedral that is breathtaking! Words fall short to describe the beautiful details that adorn this structure. And the last leg of the tour is the climb to the top of the Giralda tower, where you get a 360deg. view of Seville. I'd highly recommend this tour that we took through Visitours! And if you do, then try and get Melissa as your guide. She also enlightened us about various other must visit structures around Seville and about the must try food and local drinks! Her motto in life - if you want to do something in life, well just do it! So there you go, an awesome tour and definitely the highest rating for the same!

La guía, excelente. La empresa, tramposa
Tomé hoy el tour de la catedral de la Giralda y los reales alcázares.
Melissa hace un trabajo extraordinario. Es apasionada, histriónica, cálida, conocedora de su tema y profundamente empática con su grupo. Docenas de veces visitando los sitios han sido muy bien aprovechados.
PERO EN NINGÚN LADO DE LA OFERTA DICE QUE ELLA DARÁ EL TOUR EN DOS IDIOMAS. Si lo hubiera sabido no lo hubiera comprado: vez tras vez he visto los cuestionables resultados de esa práctica y hoy no fue la excepción.
El tour empieza a las 10:45 y termina a las 2:15. No solo en la práctica: así se anuncia. Es decir, uno ha comprado una actividad de 3:30 horas. Si quiere póngalo en 3 horas.
Pues no. El guía está obligado a repetir rigurosamente cada cosa que dice en el otro idioma, inglés en este caso.
A eso hay que sumarle que estamos hablando de mediodía. Tanto el guía como el grupo tienen hambre y sed (no me imagino cómo será la situación en el brutal verano andaluz) así que quieren liquidar la visita rápido a partir de cierto punto. Ya digo que no es falta de profesionalismo de la guía: el grupo a partir de cierto momento se mueve como vaca al matadero.
El resultado inevitable es que uno de los monumentos más grandiosos de Sevilla, la catedral, tiene que pasar a una velocidad y superficialidad que no se compadecen en absoluto ni del lugar ni del precio pagado.
Entonces, una de dos: o el tour se ajusta al tiempo real de poco más de hora y media que dura o se deja en tres horas con una experiencia realmente profunda.
No me quiero meter en las políticas de la empresa, no las conozco y no me interesa, pero me arriesgo a decir que a la guía no se le paga por dos grupos. En el mejor de los casos se le paga un porcentaje de bonificación, en el peor se le paga lo mismo que por un grupo.
Resultado, todo el mundo pierde menos la empresa, que sale de rositas con una publicidad que en mi país daría para sanción por publicidad engañosa.
Dicho todo eso, gracias Melissa. Te luciste esta mañana en tu trabajo y ne hace feliz haberte conocido. Lástima las circunstancias

Melissa is the best!
Melissa was one of the best tour guides I ever had. She is very knowledgeable, funny and kind. We learned so much about Seville through her. She took the time to explain all the details and answered all our questions. The tour was in Spanish but she also does it in English. We had a great time. Thank you Melissa!!

Melissa is the best!
Today we went on the Seville monumental tour and we were lucky to have Melissa as our guide. A fantastic guide providing tons of information and details. With a lot of humour as well. And also important: in really excellent English. It turned out to be the best guided tour ever. Visitours seem to be very well organised as well, so picking up extra people in the middle of the tour went smoothly. This tour is absolute value for your money. My advice: try to figure out when Melissa can be your guide!
