Carlos, nuestro guía, fue atento, divertido y muy diligente. Nos mostró Carmona con mucha información y buen rollo.

Visita a Carmona y Cordoba.

Carmona podría ser patrimonio de la humanidad. Carlos nuestro guía nos ilustro sobre su historia de forma amena y nos paseo por sus calles desde la necropolis hasta el alcazar-parador con bellas vistas. Pena que no pudieramos entrar a la iglesia de santa María.

Peter and Enrique gave us a very interesting, informative tour of Carmona, despite Covid restrictions and a cycle race through the town which meant certain areas were closed off. They went out of their way to provide an excellent tour.

We had a last minute chance to do a tour on our last day. Carmona sounded good.
Waiting at the departure point with our ticket , asking each arriving bus - is this us - No they said , you've got Carlos. Next bus - same thing , you've got Carlos . he will be here soon.
He was - and I have to say that Carlos was the most informative, communicative ,pleasant and amusing guide I have ever come across - in 25 years of travelling.
It was therefore no surprise to find that he was in fact a history graduate and teacher.
We explored the town of Carmona with its 3000 year old Necropolis , castle/ cathedral and convents - with hardly any tourists. As Carlos said - it is not on the radar of the big tourist companies - YET.
The history of this town was amazing- and the recovery of the relics is to be commended
The old village was really amazing and the renovated palace would have to be the best kept secret for accommodation.
Next time in Spain , I think I will stay here
