Coach pickup luckily from our hotel 7am (driver v punctual). Arrived at Albaicín in Granda 10:45 in the rain. The tour guide was high energy and a happy person with a friendly manner who spoke with a knowledgeable of a local. Really good. Then we had 1hr30mins free time. We ate at Petra recommended restaurant. Very good Paella and beverages (betted with restaurants staff when the rain would stop. They won) to prepare ourselves for the Alhambra.
We changed tour guide to Angela, English speaking Alhambra guide using head phones. The Ahambra was amazing so beautiful, the historical facts and knowledge of the place. Knew the best spots for pic. Kept us all together even though it was very busy. This was a great tour.
Back to the coach with a short 15min stopover. Back to our hotel by 8pm.

The trip was in general very good. Everyone was friendly and polite. Especially our guides (Petra and Angela) were very helpful and cheerful.

Este tour es recomendable si tienes poco tiempo para ir a Granada a visitar la Alhambra. Todo funcionó muy bien, se contactaron previamente conmigo para recordar horario y lugar de recogida. El tour cumplió con lo ofrecido. El guía Miguel fue muy bueno, muy amable con todos los pasajeros, respondió a todas nuestras dudas y se preocupó especialmente de que todos pudiésemos seguir el recorrido según las condiciones de cada uno. El conductor Alvaro también estuvo muy bien.
Recomiendo este tour, considerando que debes caminar mucho, probablemente con calor y subiendo una colina.

Il nostro punto di incontro col bus era il BIKE CENTER DI SIVIGLIA. Come prima tappa abbiamo visto Albayzín, un paesino molto carino che gode di un ottima vista sull’Alhambra. Abbiamo poi avuto una pausa di un oretta: per mangiare, scattare foto in giro, in base alle necessità. Siamo arrivati all Alhambra col bus e abbiamo visto prima la parte dentro e poi i giardini. Avere una guida é stato molto utile, per conoscere le vicende della storia, quanto avere il salta fila perché passando si vedevano delle file abbastanza lunghe e per noi era dedicata proprio un’altra entrata. Esperienza consigliata.
Complimenti alle guide Maria e Carlos molto professionali, simpatici. Hanno reso la visita ancora più speciale.

After visiting the Alhambra because of its reputation we found it so be sadly underwhelming. The Alcazar was far superior and we could walk there instead of sitting through the near 6 hour roundtrip from Seville to Granada.

The Alhambra is a monument admired by many, and we are glad you had the chance to visit it, even if it didn't meet your personal expectations. We are 2 ladies staying at Suites Murillo Plaza Santa Cruz. Can we be picked up from the Hotel if we go on the Granada Alhambra trip?

The tour company has 3 pick up points. We were a 5inute walk away. I used Google maps of the area to work out which was closest. When you fill in the booking they can tell you the closest pick up point. I think in santa cruz it will be at the inter parking which isnt far. You are best asking directly...they were very good...spoke english and very helpful.

Would there be room for a lightweight collapsible walker (which can be carried up steps) on the bus from Seville to Granada? The tour description says "wheelchair accessible" - which I wonder about considering the nature of the monument. But would a walker work on this tour if it can be carried around tricky sections?

There are two booking options available for this tour (at different prices). What are the differences between the two?

One of them has a walking tour of the Albaicin neighborhood (former Jewish quarter), the other one just drops you off for a couple hours to wander around while others are doing the tour.
By the end of the day, I was kind of tour-ed out, but Albaicin is very cool. And there’s a park on a hill that lets you get the wide-angle postcard photo of the Alhambra. You don’t get that if you don’t do the extra tour.
The bus drops people off at the bottom of a hill and then drives up the hill into Albaicin. So if you wanted to do a lot of walking, you might be able to do it on your own. But you don’t actually get a lot of time for that, so it might not be worth the risk.
