Our guide Iker took us on this one day excursion of the Basque coastlines of both Spain and France. Iker was so very down to earth and easy to talk to. We learned so much of the Basque history and how the Spanish and French sides were different but mostly very similar. We toured food markets and had fresh oysters in a seafood market. We had an amazing lunch also! Iker was an excellent guide and I would highly recommend this tour to learn more about the Basque area of Spain

Iker and Gonzalo were like long lost cousins excited to share their culture and home. We toured the coastline with Iker, and enjoyed a wonderful San Sebastian pintxo tour with Gonzalo. Both were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. At the end of our trip, I polled my family, and everyone ranked these experiences as their favorite. I would certainly recommend.

We had an amazing tour visiting small towns in Basque Country with the best tour guide, Iker Bardaji. He allowed us to see so many amazing places in just one day — something that would have been impossible to do so efficiently without his knowledge and well-planned agenda. Each of the three towns we visited (two in France, one in Spain) was gorgeous and different from one another, allowing us to experience so many unique things in one day. Iker also took us to one of the best lunches of my life — we had a superb meal at an affordable price.
If you want to learn a lot about Basque country with a professional, talented, friendly, and thoughtful guide, you should definitely take a tour with Iker. He made our trip perfect.

Our family did this private full day tour up the coastline with Jon. He was a tremendous tour. Very personable and knowledgeable. Jon made the day fun and entertaining. The stops were beautiful and extremely interesting. This was a fantastic day and well worth it. Thanks to Basque Tours and Jon for an unbelievable experience!

We had the most amazing day with Jon our tour guide. He was definitely the local expert as he was born and raised in the area. He took us to lookout points that were breathtaking, local markets and a treasure of a hidden restaurant that we could probably never find again! It was all so special. Thank you for the experience.

Blessed to have met Iker! I have been on many private tours around the world over the years and he is by far the BEST! He asks many questions so as to personalize a tour for you, listens to your interests and plans the most amazing experiences. Iker personally invests his energy in assuring that your tour is exceptional and suited to your interests. Iker is proud of representing the Basque region and really let us in on local experiences and history that wowed my group. We just finished an 8 hour tour with Iker. He is very knowledgeable, courteous, compassionate and prompt. We left San Sebastián to drive to Biarritz, San Juan de Luz, hendaie, Jaizkibel and Hondarribia. Very different villages that were charming. If you can do it, have lunch at Laia. Superb

Iker picked us up at our apartment in San Sebastián on-time . We had a party of eight people. He was very efficient and flexible in determining our course of action for the day . He was very knowledgeable about the material that he was explaining and always gave us the right amount of context . We were looking forward to our Rioja tour with him the next day .

We spent 2 wonderful days with Iker of Basque Guides; an evening of Pinxtos Tasting in San Sebastián followed by a private tour of the French Basque coastline. Iker is very friendly and meticulous in his presentation and knowledge of history and the area. He kept our 10 year old son and 13 year old daughter entertained as well. Our every need was met. We look forward to scheduling another tour with Iker the next time we visit. He is everything you would want in a tour guide and more.
