After 2.5 weeks in Spain and Portugal both my husband and I rated our full day cooking class with Patricio at Mimo Bite the Experience as our favorite activity of the trip!! The day was so special starting with going to the market and picking up our seafood, meat, fruits and vegetables. The Mimo kitchen is a full on industrial sleek location that alone is just a delight to be in. We all helped to cook and although we consider ourselves to be quite familiar with recipes we learned so much and made dishes that we have never tried before. The price may seem steep but in this case you get what you pay for. If you are a foodie this is the class for you! Highly recommend to anyone who visits San Sebastian. You will go far beyond the pinchos the area is known for while you explore basque cooking. Patricio is also an extremely talented chef and a wonderful host!

Erick was spectacular! We learned new techniques to improve our cooking game. He was patient and funny. He involved everyone in the process. I’m sorry I ate breakfast as there was so much amazing food. We really appreciated the emphasis on local, sustainable food that exemplifies the Basque way of life!

All three Chefs are wonderful! We had a small class of 6 people and had a hands on cooking class with Chef Erick. It was a wonderful experience for the second time! And we will be back for a third! You will not regret doing this.

We took the Market tour and seasonal cooking class at Mimo and had an outstanding experience. Patricio took us to the market to purchase all the fresh food. His explanation of what to look for before purchasing was very informative and entertaining. The real fun began when we went back to the chef’s kitchen. The facility is beautiful and has everything that a chef could only dream of. It was a hands on class which was a great experience for all. Feasting on the fruits of our labor, paired with wonderful wine was the best part of the whole experience, of course. Looking forward to recreating many of the dishes at home for family and friends.
Bravo to Mimo and Patricio for a memorable day in the kitchen.

If you want to get to know a place take a cooking class. This class at Mimo was exceptional. The chefs were entertaining, very knowledgeable and locals’. We toured the market, tasted Pintxos, sampled excellent wines and prepared an excellent meal with apps, main and desert. Plus the wines. The kitchen is beautiful and fully equipped for a group. All in a very relaxed and inviting environment

This is a hands on cooking class where you get to experience fine dining in a fun environment. The meal is exceptional and the chefs are great to work with. This was fun, informational, and delicious! I would highly recommend for an activity while viewing San Sebastián. The chefs Mikel and Patricio are very talented and you will leave excited to go home and cook!

Amazing experience with a family. Learned history culture AND cooking from Patricia. Good humor and the kids had a blast engaging with him. Also gave recipes and recommendations for the rest of our stay. Food was delish and a fine lunch with local wine.

This class looks awesome but we will not be in San Sebastian on a Weds. Is it offered any other days? We are coming in September.
