A great way to explore the pintxos bars, the best thing is you don't have to order. It's all sorted at each bar. Skip the ques.

Our pintxos tour was incredible, and Begonia was a stellar guide. I was there with two friends, and we figured we wanted to book the tour the night we got in so we had some experience under our belts to branch out and see things on our own the following days - this is the way to do it!
It was so much more than just a tour of the food, too. Everything we had was delicious, and I tried things I probably wouldn't have sought out on my own. It would've been great with food and nothing else. But she gave a ton of great insight into the history of San Sebastian itself, the craft behind the dishes and drinks we had, and answered all of our questions that popped up along the way.
We felt like insiders when we hit Old Town the following night to go back and get a few of the same dishes (we just couldn't resist the pork cheek from Ssua and the tenderloin from Casa Gandarias) and check out some others that sounded great. You can't go wrong. I really appreciated the tour's focus on local shops truly interwoven in the tapestry of San Sebastian, and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Begonia was knowledgeable and friendly- she handled the busy places very well for our group of 8 and answered all our questions. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to get oriented to pintxos in the old town with a guide, to try a variety of locations and foods without feeling paralyzed by so much to choose from! Begonia followed up after the tour and offered more information- she's an expert curator.

We enjoyed a brilliant night exploring the Old Town Pintxos Bars with Begonia as our guide. Begonia was fantastic, so informative and full of local knowledge about the city of San Sebastián, the Old Town, Basque history and of course the food and wine. We had a great time and were so pleased to explore Pintxos and Wine with Begonia.
We highly recommend Devour Tours and especially with Begonia. This tour is a ‘Must Do’ when visiting San Sebastián. Pay the little extra and get the best experience !!!

We are so glad we chose a Devour tour! Carlos, our guide, was excellent! Carlos was very knowledgeable about pintxos, local wine and drew from his professional time in the kitchen to give us a very memorable experience. The food was so fantastic we even revisited a few of the restaurants the next night. Thank you!

The review was very good with an excellent guide. Lots of variety; plenty to eat and drink. Hopped to various bars and had great company too. The details were shared with us at end. The only thing was when we tried to replicate the next day the bars said they were only for tours.

We usually love these food tours, but this one was sub par. The pintxos the guide chose were just okay and the amount of food/wine was not enough. Definitely not worth the higher price of this tour. The guide also had no real plan for the tour- no reserved table anywhere which would be fine for a couple places but not for a 3 hour tour where we often were waiting outside for him for 15 minutes or more to get the food which we then ate on the street with no table. The guide also was not really knowledgeable about the history of San Sebastián and actually gave us some information that was wrong. Overall not a great experience and not worth the money.

We had a fantastic tour with an amazing guide who teached us all there is to learn about San Sebastián. Visited intimate great places with wonderful food and superb wines.

Our experience was a 10/10. Our guide was friendly well connected in the city and very knowledgeable. She shared history and local knowledge. we felt very welcome in the establishments. The food was spectacular. If you do nothing else…. do this tour and ask for Amya. (Ah-My-Ah). We didn’t take pics of all the food but here are a few.

The mussels place and the beef tenderloin I went back for ......twice in two days - they are excellent and the tour is so worth getting to know the best of the best

Hello, my husband and I are not big seafood fans. I am concerned that we won't have many options in some of the pintxo bars. Do the bars have varieties of foods or are they focused on seafood etc.?

They have a selection in each place. I am allergic to shellfish and crustaceans which I told the company when we booked the tour and made sure the guide had been told by the company when we arrived (which she had). In each of the bars where seafood was the main attraction our guide made sure that an alternative was given to me. As I recall, seafood was the focus in only two of the bars anyway. So my advice is to make your preferences known when you book and reinforce them when you arrive. I’m sure they’ll accommodate you.
