We went with an outfit called Get Holiday. They will tell you that there is parking at the Los Cristianos ferry terminal, but we didn't see any, so let them pick you up at your hotel or take a cab to the terminal. The trip itself was great. This is realistically the only way to see La Gomera in one day; you won't be able to quickly find everything worth looking at yourself, and the roads are windy and treacherous. And you only need one day, because it's a small island. Very interesting microclimates that change dramatically as you go from the south to the center to the north. Bring a jacket! It is cold and foggy (and often rainy) up in the mountains. Basso is a good guide who speaks excellent English.

Great trip with Tamarin to La Gomera. We were picked up near the hotel in a Jeep, which drove to a center, where we were distributed in different jeeps according to which language the guide spoke. Then we drove to the ferry.
At La Gomera we were driven around to many different sights, where we got an excellent explanation of our English guide. The island is very beautiful and special with an original vegetation.
In the middle of the trip we ate at a restaurant - included in the price. Here the special flute language was demonstrated.
Finally we had about 1 hour on our own in the largest city, San Sebastian. After that we sailed back to Tenerife and were driven back to the hotel.
The guide was really good and gave the opportunity for questions. The driver was also good. She spoke English and also spoke regularly.
A lovely day at La Gomera can be recommended.

The excursion was amazing thanks to our knowledgeable guide, Laura and our trusted bus driver, Pepe. Laura knew the history of the island as well as knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. She had an easy going personality making her approachable for conversation and questions. Pepe steered the bus around the mountainous curves so efficiently that no one left with white knuckles from holding on too tightly. The sites were breathtaking, especially in the National Park. I highly recommend this Atlantico excursion and their guide, Laura.

My husband and myself have been to Adeje several times and always fancied going on a day trip to the small island of La Gomera. I wasn't going to do a review as I thought we had just been unfortunate with the weather and guide but after an awful day out on La Gomera we heard from other couples, after our trip, that they had also not enjoyed the trip.
The majority of the day is spent on a coach for which the island is not suitable for, the road around the national park is narrow and does not accommodate a coach and another vehicle coming the opposite way. The lunch was awful with some very questionable entertainment from the owners son, our guide did know what she was talking about but, for some reason, felt she had to give all the information in every language she could speak although there was only 2 or 3 different nationalities on the trip.
This is a trip I will not be recommending or rebooking

Many thanks for your review and we are sorry to hear you had a bad experience. As you have commented sometimes not often the weather is not good. It is a bus trip and yes a lot of time on the bus reaching the best parts of the island. Food is always a case of you will love it or hate it, however it is to make sure everyone eats on this long journey. A sample of the local food.
We hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Tenerife .

We booked a GERMAN TRAVEL GUIDE for 98 euros. Unfortunately, you cannot give a STAR. All the time loud Spanish, bad English and Chantal, which NO GERMAN can speak, reads down everything incomprehensibly and Googles words. Lunch at La Zula. Unnecessary environment. Cabbage soup, ghastly chicken with frozen vegetables. Our tour group were the ONLY GUESTS! Although the place was very large and empty, we were put close together. An absolute cheekiness and rip-off! Unfortunately, we couldn't settle down. I did this tour for the 4th time but nothing like this has ever happened to me.

We are sorry about the food. Canarian food and soup you will love it or hate it. It is not to everyones taste. However we like so make sure every has something to eat as it is a long day out.

This trip was excellent. Get picked up close to hotel and taken to the ferry port at Los Cristianos about an hour crossing and then onto another bus for the tour. Made very interesting by our tour guide Enrique De Lorenzo Cabrera, a lovely guy who made the tour much fun. We had a very nice 3 course lunch with wine half way round before continuing the tour. It is a long day, about 11 hours door to door but very much worth it. We booked our tour in Costa Adeje at The Jet Ski Centre & Excursions a nice guy took the booking, however he might try to get you to pay more for a "Faster Ferry Crossing" Don't take it, we did and found out later all the crossings are fast.

Took a trip on the ferry from Tenerife to La Gomera. Great view of both islands and saw a pod of whales on the way back. Wondered round San Sebastián then listened to street music in the square as we had lunch al fresco.

Very good tour of the island. Lots of curvy roads but driver was very experienced. We saw the whole island and it had beautiful views.

The trip from start to finish was fantastic, great, funny tour guide who spoke multiple languages. The driver was funny and professional, especially on the tight roads. The food and whistle experience was exceptional. The trip was a good balance, not rushed but also not too slow. I hate boats but really enjoyed the experience. I would definitely go again!

The tour guide talked continuously, of course she had to tell everything in German and English, but the speakers on the bus were incredibly poor quality and were very loud - I would have liked hearing protection. Unfortunately, she seemed to have the instruction to talk permanently, because instead of a few minutes rest in between, she preferred to tell everything twice.
On La Gomera it was quite cold and windy, and very foggy.
The tour was touted to us as a hiking tour, but in fact we were on the bus 95% of the time, which stopped every 20 minutes to take photos. Hiking was limited to 15 minutes. The best part was a museum at the biscuit baker's, but we didn't have enough time to go through it. Too bad!
On La Gomera it was quite cold and windy, and very foggy.

Many thanks for your review. Sorry to say no this is not a Hiking trip. It is aimed at any age just to see the sights. We are so sorry this trip was not to your liking too. It is a long day on a bus and ferry but it is the only way to see the highlights of the beautiful little island. Nice not to see any motorways. The guides do talk a lot as they are having to give as much information as they can about where you are visiting. Most people like this but for a few just want to see the views. We always hope that you will learn something new. The little island was quite a spot for Christopher Columbus.

Hello! We did this tour in december, there were pick up stations in the north and in the south of Tenerife. Just need to book with north pick up and let them know where is your hotel and they will let you know the closest pick up station.

La agencia que gestiona la venta , es la encargada de informar donde los recoge , a que hora , en que hotel cercano al que están hospedados , y los horarios de salida y de regreso , igual que el itinerario y excursión a la Gomera.
Nosotros fuimos desde el Puerto de la Cruz en GUAGUA hasta el puerto de los cristianos , y salimos con un catamarán que nos llevó a la Gomera.

Procedente de Tenerife realizamos el viaje a la Gomera , y una vez llegamos , junto con la guía turística , nos esperaba un autocar que nos traslado a la zona más alta de la isla, y visitamos el referente más destacado de la isla ,un bosque precioso, lleno de musgo y rodeado de niebla y humedad, que genera lluvia , ligera.
Aconsejo llevar para esta excursión , impermeable , o paraguas , y sobre andar , es poco y relajante , buena temperatura fresquita, y el recorrido es breve solo una pequeña visita alrededor , después nos llevan a comer cerca, y después nos vuelven a llevar de regreso desde la montaña al puerto , para embarcar de nuevo, regresando al punto de partida.
Te recomiendo que visites la Gomera , es un bonito viaje ,espero que mi información , te haya sido útil.

El viaje se concierta a través de agencia turística de las que ofrecen el viaje a la Gomera.
La salida parte del Puerto de la Cruz , van recogiendo dependiendo de la ubicación del Hotel que estemos hospedados, y nos trasladan al Sur , y una vez allí nos recoge un autocar y nos llevan a la zona más alta de la isla , para visitar el bosque lleno de musgo, con mucha humedad y con lluvia.
