Montserrat is a "must see" and after taking 3 other "small group tours" we decided to make the day our own and take advantage of this one.
It was a beautiful day and our driver (Jonathan) was excellent. He made suggestions and even took us to a small village to have lunch afterwards that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip!
I would highly recommend this excursion!
FYI (I would also recommend that you have the driver take you to the top and then ride the cable car to the bottom. There is a lot of walking up hill involved if you take the cable car up).

Unbelievable views. The sound of the boys choirs was heavenly . Need to Spend a day as there is a lot to see and it's a beautiful place to rest and heal your mind and soul

Our driver, Pedro and guide, Lluis were both excellent. We also purchased the Museum Pass for €25 per person, which I HIGHLY recommend. Lluis helped us time our visit so we were able to take in the museum, the basilica (including a performance of the boys choir, and a visit to the Black Madonna, which was stunning. The museum exceeded expectations, the views from Montserrat were beautiful, and we were well taken care of. Pedro at Montpe Tours, who handled the booking was also helpful an efficient.

Nacho es un buenísimo conductor que lidió con entereza las curvas del ascenso a la montaña/parque natural de Montserrat. Una vez en el recinto del monasterio nos guió a la perfección para que no nos perdiéramos ninguna de las actividades que se realizan, tanto turísticas -museos, tiendas, cafeterías, paseos- como espirituales: basílica, camino del Ave María, Escolanía y librería especializada. Hay que organizar muy bien la visita a Montserrat para gozar de tanta tradición en una sola visita, y eso es muy difícil sin un profesional al lado.
