In one of the lines Fernando accompanied us as Guide. It was great fun and recommended many places to visit. We also saw many beautiful parts of the city.

Lousy tour. They don't explain or they're out of time. Guide only charges ticket and warns stops. Unkind. Disappointing. He says it happens every 10 min and it got to be 40, full of people trying to take place.

I waited at bus stop 7 outside Starbucks from 11.30 to 12.50. During this time NO BUS arrived!!! There was simply no service. It was a hot day to stand in the sun for 100 minutes. Traffic was heavy but 9 other tour buses stopped from competing companies. Do not use these people. They are thieves!!!!

The bus was very slow to come on more than one occasion.but the first time we waited more than 30 min. There was a lot of music played on audio and less commentary on the sites than I’ve experienced with similar tours in other places. This afternoon, we were all asked to disembark and reboard two waiting busses. We lost a prized front window seat in the shuffle. Our second bus sat for another 15 minutes before leaving. My husband’s audio plug didn’t work. Overall, we were underwhelmed for the price of our 48 hr ticket, even with the seniors discount (40 euros for both of us). We rode each route once.

I am pleased to give a five out of five review for this Hop On Hop Off Bus in Madrid. I was separated from my friends and lost in Madrid and when I got back on the bus. the guide, Fernando, helped me find my way back to my hotel. He found the closest stop, checked on me all the way, and even checked that I arrived back at my hotel. He knew I was upset and was very kind and helpful. It is good to know that a tour guide in Madrid will go above and beyond to help a tourist in need.

Endless waiting at stops
Already 3 stops where we want to take the bus and always more than 30 minutes waiting ... that’s a long time ... more bus places.

I regret to learn that you were not satisfied with Madrid City Tour,
Even though we strive for all our clients to enjoy our service fully, there are times when the increase in demand is difficult to foresee and this may affect our bus’s frequency and occupancy. It is specified that a seat is not guaranteed since it depends on the fluctuation of passengers at the moment.

Well worth it.. we did a couple of circuits and the second we did without the headphones just looking. So much to see and photograph. Can get very busy and you might need to wait as some buses go past full and everyone pushes in IE. Brits Spanish Chinese whoever. If you go to stop 1 you can catch both buses less grief and there is an office booth there to sort any problems. Loved it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the sightseeing trip around Madrid. They have 2 lines: one modern city and one old city. Very convenient stops. Headphones in English easy to understand with very little static. All-day pass: save some time to go after dark to see the city lights.

Con artists simply: Purchase of 3 tickets for 2 days. The 1st day: we are refused entry because we do not have with us the receipt "paper", while we received by email the confirmation of purchase!!! On the 2nd day, after 1 hour waiting at a stopover, we decided in despair to walk to the nearest stop on the other route. As we validated the journey on day 2, we are taken off at the next stop, claiming that the journey 1 should have been made the day before (this is an attic since the day before we were denied access). I wrote to ask for a refund. I didn't even get a reply.

Je suis au regret d'apprendre les désagréments que vous avez rencontrés avec Madrid City Tour Service.
Je tiens à souligner qu'il est écrit dans nos conditions que les clients doivent conserver leur billet avec eux à tout moment pendant les trajets et que la perte ou le vol de celui-ci ne vous donne pas le droit d'en recevoir un nouveau. Suite à vos commentaires, notre personnel a mis en place la bonne procédure en cas de refus de prendre votre bon électronique pour la prestation.

I was just a traveller. I used a company called Viator to book the hop-on-hop-off buses. Two of the main attractions are the Prada Museum and the Royal Palace. I also went to the Bernabeu Stadium where Real Madrid plays but unfortunately, they weren't doing tours!

When you purchase your ticket, you are issued a map withe stops. Sorry I didn't save mine. We used Google maps extensively for our month in Spain. Make sure you select the Walking mode and it give you an excellent route(s) from your current location to your selected destination. And if you take a wrong turn, it auto corrects and shows alternate routes. Just make sure your battery is charged.
I was the only Android user....my daughter, son in law, and grandaughter went to a kid friendly venue while my wife and I went somewhere else. All the Apple phone users ran of battery and they had to ask strangers for directions ( and they did not speak Spanish ) and finally got back to our AirBnB. My phone was still functional and we made it home just looking strange as we walked through Madrid/Barcelons/Seville with my phone held out front being used as a compass.
They couldn't call us and we had no way of tracking them down. Something else we did was to activate the tracker mechanism on our phones so in case we seperated, we could find each other, even in the castels and museums. It came in handy one day when I had seperated and gone to a museum across town, and I was trying to get back and was really tired.....and not wanting to take the scenic route home. My daughter was concerned that I was so late and called, and then since she was at the apt, she had access to her laptop and could see me on the map and was directing me to the closest Metro and then directed several different train routes back to our apt.
I would highly recommend that your carry a well charged small power supply for your phone and wear good hiking shoes.
