I wish I had visited TripAdvisor first. Everything that has been said about this City Tour is correct.
I wonder how many one star reviews it takes for the management to do something to rectify the rubbish service.
We were told there were buses every ten minutes but maybe because it is November frequency is much less. We wasted a lot of time waiting on buses and would definitely not recommend this bus trip. You hop off at your own risk because there is no guarantee another bus is going to come along as promised.
Really a disgrace to this magnificent city.

We attempted to go on a tour on a Tuesday morning outside of peak season and bought tickets online in advance. We waited 50 mins at a bus stop with 4 buses going past with no availability before giving up. The customer service is nonexistent. They know we haven’t been able to use our tickets but refused to refund them. Definitely go with another tour

Please bear in mind that even though we strive for all our clients to fully enjoy our service, there are times when the increase in demand is difficult to foresee and this may cause affectations on our bus’s frequency and occupancy. It is specified that a seat is not guaranteed since it depends on the fluctuation of passengers at the moment.

No service, no staff at the stops or anyone to direct in the direction of the WORKABLE STOPS!!! No warning of closing roads, we bought a ticket for two days and one of them did not get to ride at all, looking for the freaking stops! No organization!

A very poor experience. Buses are full and it took us 4 attempts to get on. You also don’t see much, it’s pretty much a drive round Madrid with a not particularly illuminating commentary.

The hop on/ hop off tours are generally a great way to get a sense of a city and it’s neighborhood.
But the Madrid hop on/ hop off has some issues. Some of the headphone jacks don’t work.
Also, they will hold the bus for 30 minutes or longer if they don’t have “enough” people on board. I waited over 30 minutes, then just got off and walked back to my hotel.

Regarding the audio service, we regret that you have not been able to fully enjoy it. Although our buses are regularly tested to make sure all components are working properly, unfortunately, this type of problem can show up during the day.

Alles heel onduidelijk heel slecht opstap plaatsen niet duidelijk aangegeven waar je op moet stappen ook de routes vind ik erg tegenvallen heel erg jammer dit moet en kan beter als je naar London gaat of naar Barcelona daar is het wel goed geregeld

I was just a traveller. I used a company called Viator to book the hop-on-hop-off buses. Two of the main attractions are the Prada Museum and the Royal Palace. I also went to the Bernabeu Stadium where Real Madrid plays but unfortunately, they weren't doing tours!

When you purchase your ticket, you are issued a map withe stops. Sorry I didn't save mine. We used Google maps extensively for our month in Spain. Make sure you select the Walking mode and it give you an excellent route(s) from your current location to your selected destination. And if you take a wrong turn, it auto corrects and shows alternate routes. Just make sure your battery is charged.
I was the only Android user....my daughter, son in law, and grandaughter went to a kid friendly venue while my wife and I went somewhere else. All the Apple phone users ran of battery and they had to ask strangers for directions ( and they did not speak Spanish ) and finally got back to our AirBnB. My phone was still functional and we made it home just looking strange as we walked through Madrid/Barcelons/Seville with my phone held out front being used as a compass.
They couldn't call us and we had no way of tracking them down. Something else we did was to activate the tracker mechanism on our phones so in case we seperated, we could find each other, even in the castels and museums. It came in handy one day when I had seperated and gone to a museum across town, and I was trying to get back and was really tired.....and not wanting to take the scenic route home. My daughter was concerned that I was so late and called, and then since she was at the apt, she had access to her laptop and could see me on the map and was directing me to the closest Metro and then directed several different train routes back to our apt.
I would highly recommend that your carry a well charged small power supply for your phone and wear good hiking shoes.
