Great time wine tasting. Learned all about the Spanish wine regions and types of Spanish wines while tasting two reds and a white. Left with a map of the wine regions of Spain which will help us learn about the differences in the regions as we delve into Spanish wines

I loved this wine tasting. It included three glasses of wine, two red and own white. The explanation and commentary kept our small group highly entertained. I would definitely go back for another wine tasting and purchase more wine!

Wish I came here at the start of my trip. I kept hearing what great wines Spain had but I was struggling to like any that I had tried. The wines here were great!. The wine tasting was fun and the host was funny and knowledgeable. They have so many wines in the store too. We brought 3 to bring home.

Madrid & Darracott is a lovely wine store and we started our time in Madrid with this tasting there. Kevin was a great host introducing us to more of the wines of Spain than we had previously known about. We also got to meet the owners and official dogs who were all great!
Tip for visitors. While it is NEAR Plaza Mayor, the exact address is Calle del Duque de Rivas, 8, Madrid. It is a few minutes from the plaza but use this address or the store name when you are finding it.
We will stop again on our next trip!

This is a superb wine store in a lovely area of Madrid. We had scheduled to participate in an evening wine tasting but arrived late due to transportation problems. A separate tasting was arranged for the five of us since the larger group was halfway through their tasting. The staff was so pleasant about the inconvenience even though we were clearly at fault. We learned some very interesting things about Spain’s wine industry with the help of a wonderful map/place map that illustrated types and locales better than the maps in most wine books (and we could keep the map). Our expert, Pablo, was both knowledgeable and congenial. We enjoyed talking with him. I highly recommend the wine tasting and the store itself if you just want help in selecting Spanish wine to purchase.

Very fun and enjoyable activity. Host are funny and very intelligent and able to communicate very well about the wines. They were not pretentious a——les! I would highly recommend!!

My daughter and I greatly enjoyed our wine tasting experience. The staff was knowledgeable, fun and engaging, and the wines were excellent!

We went to a vermouth tasting with Roque, who was a fantastic host. It was great to learn about the history of vermouth, the different variations, and even get a recipe of how to make it at home! The vermouths we tried were all delicious, and now I have a much greater appreciation for how complex and interesting these wines can be. Vermouth is an important tradition in Madrid, and there is no better place to try it than this lovely wine shop. Roque was knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. It was really a fun experience, like spending time with good friends. I want to go back for one of the evening wine tastings, and maybe do a bit of shopping for wines to take home with me. I highly recommend this as something to do when in Madrid.

The host, Luke was very entertaining and made the entire experience super interesting both in terms of knowledge of wine information as well as making it very amusing. Great experience that everybody should go for. Worth the money!!
