Dire experience

Terrible. Having the tour booked well in advance, we arrived in Madrid and the day before they called us to tell us that the contracted tour is suspended at 10.00 and that we change it at 13.00 because they have put another group in English at our time....

They happen to us at 13.00 in the heat of August in Madrid and screwing up the plans we already had a posterioi so we have no choice but to suspend the tour and refund money.

I will never buy them anything else and of course I will recommend everyone to avoid them. Irresponsible company.

Do the audio tour early in the morning

The palace is beautiful and we did the audio tour headsets. This allowed us to walk at our own pace and it took about 2 hours inside and out. I would not pay for the tour guide for this one. The audio was great. Go early in the morning--9:30am to get in line for the general admission. Not many people and by 10:30 the line was incredible. Even if you get tickets and they are not early in the morning, you will be fighting a crowd of people in all of the inside areas. Beautiful place to tour and well worth the general admission price.

We did not get the full tour to the cathedral

I think we were overlooked. We booked 10am tour of Palace and Cathedral. Day before the tour we received an email saying our tour was changed to 11am. Sergio was our guide. He did a great job. Very informative, organized, helpful and answered questions. When the tour of the Palace was done he collected headphones and began to leave. Apparently no one else was on the combo tour to the cathedral except us. Sergio had no idea. No fault of his. The tour company apparently made the error. Sergio was gracious enough to walk us to the cathedral and usher us in but could not stay or give us a full tour as he was schedule by the company to take on another tour. I emailed the tour company but my email bounced. They really should offer us a partial refund. Overall however, I do recommend a guided tour. It will give you much more insight and detail than just doing the tour on your own.

Informative, fascinating and superb aesthetics.

Fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable guide who manoeuvred the group through very rough weather to arrive mostly dry at our destination.

It sounds like you had an adventure with some challenging weather conditions, but it's great to hear that your guide managed to keep the group in good spirits and mostly dry. Beautiful place in downtown Spain

The apartment is beautiful and quirky - one of a kind. Great A/C. The clothes washer is a welcome addition. This was our first time in Spain and our first time using AirBnB. Paula walked us through everything.

Disappointing

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and culture connected to the palace and the cathedral. However, the size of the group, the poor quality of the headphones, and the guide’s inability to tell a story made this tour disappointing. We left early.

Poor customer service

We had a good tour of the royal palace, our guide did a good job and was very knowledgeable but sadly ended the tour early and did not take us on our tour of the cathedral which we had also paid for. When we visited the tour office to see what could be done. We were told it was only a 2 euro difference and all they would do is refund us that amount. We were very disappointed to have missed our skip the line, guided tour of the cathedral and would not use this company again.

Castle tour great! Must do. Cathedral is not included.

Palace tour was great. Ignacio the guide was excellent. The castle is so gorgeous and to see the historic references was wonderful. Be aware - the cathedral is not included. The tour is not two and a half hours. They refunded us the difference but I had to go back and ask. and that was a pain.
