My husband and I did a tour with Chef Carmen in 2004 and I was so excited to share the experience with our 3 kids and my parents in 2023! Chef Carmen is a truly amazing person - full of fun, passionate about cooking and life, and her attention to detail is second to none. She made sure we all had a fabulous week - including our kids (ages 10, 14, 17)! My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during this trip and she made it a very special night at her restaurant. We only wish we had MORE cooking classes because we enjoyed them so much! Not only did she make cooking fun for everyone, but the food was delicious! We made the best gnocchi, eggplant parm, sea bass, and molten lava cake! And the tours she arranged for us were perfect for our family - she even made sure we had the best driver. You cannot plan a trip to the Naples/Sorrento/Amalfi area without Chef Carmen! She is THE BEST!

I found Carmen and Cooking School La Cucina del Gusto by Carmen in an online search and boy am I glad I did. I was looking for a cooking trip to Italy but what we got was an entire experience. I honestly didn't believe the reviews but they were all true! First of all, Carmen took such good care of us. We stayed in a beautiful villa with amazing views. We had private drivers everywhere. We learned to make mozzarella and ricotta, walked through lemon groves, toured Pompeii, had a beautiful lunch at a winery, visited the Amalfi Coast and more. And wait, I haven't told you the best part. We were welcomed by Carmen like family and had two fabulous cooking sessions plus a special dinner. We made gnocchi and ravioli and eggplant parmesan and lots of other fabulous food.. But best of all, we laughed, we danced, we made new friends and had an amazing time. We felt like we were in a movie, it was so special. Our only regret was that we didn't bring our sons with us (22 & 24), so we plan to go back!

This was our second visit with Carmen. The first time was in 2012. It was a fantastic trip and 2022 was just as good. Carmen takes care of everything, including our hotel, many meals, daily excursions to unique and fun places, and of course the cooking classes.
My wife is an outstanding cook, I am not. We both had a blast learning from Carmen. The classes were all different and we were exposed to foods we had never experienced.
I highly recommend a visit with Carmen. It is perfect for couples, friends and large family groups.

I did this program twice and had as much fun the second time (12 years after the first time). The class is informative, hands on and delicious.
The combination of cooking with the tours she arranges for you is the right combination to experience the best of southern Italy.
The best word i can use to describe both visits is. FUN. Just try it, one class or three you will love it. Kathy

Back once more after loving Carmen's cooking school the first time nearly 20 yrs ago....and again, 10 yrs ago. Now, having brought more friends to Carmen this past week, she never disappoints!
Carmen loves what she does and you will love her year after year and time after time at La Cucina del Gusto!!!

Once again, Chef Carmen Mazzola did not disappoint!
This is our third visit to Chef Carmen's La Cucina del Gusto and each time the experience is fresh and satisfying!
If you're looking for the ultimate introduction to the magical Amalfi Coast look no further. You will definitely not be disappointed!

Out of the 3 cities and 7 days we spent near the almandine coast, Carmen’s cooking class was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Not only was Carmen helpful and knowledgeable, but she made the experience so fun!!! We sang, danced and drank unlimited wine as we learned to cook. The food was outstanding and we ended up spending several ours hanging out with Carmen & the other guests we met in the cooking class. Carmen is so well known, we even found a few common friends who wrote on her wall during their visit, in addition to thousands of others from all across the world. This is an experience you do not want to miss!

Carmen is an amazing lively person and a great chef. She teaches her cooking classes with fun and spirits!!! She imbibes the culture and traditions of Italy into her cooking classes! I would go every year if I could. If you want to experience Italy like an Italian spend a week with Carmen and you will feel like you’ve known her forever and you’ll always be a part of her family ❗️🍷🍷. I can’t wait to to back again 👍👍👍I rate her classes the highest ranking!!
