It was a very well organised trip and we were well looked after, easy to locate and travel to in Naples. Views were beautiful, amazing tour guides, access to everything, would reccomend going, as you are able to do both Pompeii and mt. Vesuvius in one day.

It’s was amazing experience would definitely recommend.
The ruins have been preserved so well. Hopefully future tourist respect the history and not steel the ruins for their own keep sake.

Great visit guides to the ruins of Pompeii. Leave Naples with passagen first in Pompeii with an immersive day-to-day tour of the old city. Followed by a visit to the crater of the volcano Vesuvius.

Very well organised trip. Effortless and very enjoyable. Worry about pre booking trips abroad in advance sometimes but absolutely no need. Had loads of time in pompeii and vesuvius. Would give it a big thumbs up, amazing day and fabulous experience

We did the day trip. Was worth it! This was a really fun experience, just make sure you like to walk and hike. We learned so much from our guides about Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. A really good time.

I was in awe of Pompeii! I always thought it was a small ruin, however, it is 165 acres! Everywhere the tour guide took us, we learned amazing facts and saw breathtaking relics. We were blessed to visit the newly opened ‘rich man’s villa’ with beautiful original wall murals that were not destroyed. I put my foot in a groove in the roman road which had been worn away by Chariot wheels. We saw bakeries, pizza ovens, flour grinders, amphitheatre and of course the poor ash preserved bodies. The coach was on time with an excellent driver and Angela our Tour Guide, was funny pleasant and informative.Mount Vesuvius was a great experience too, but beware, it is a hard climb up dusty rubble and very hot 33 in August! Lol. Totally recommend this company and trip.

We are looking to book this trip so can someone clarify on the excursion up Mt. Vesuvius? When the coach stops, are you allowed to sit on the coach instead of going up to the top of the volcano? If you choose to go up to the volcano do you have to go with a guide or can you go on your own?

Hello,
I'm looking at booking my trip to italy staying in sorrento, obviously I am looking for a day trip to vesuvius and pompeii,
Can anyone help me out here,
I see with vesuvius we drive up is there anywhere at the top to sit etc,
Also walking round Pompeii, I understand its preserved but is there places to sit etc between sites,
I have some walking problems where I need to be aided with crutches so am trying to way up my options.

Hi, there are no benches to sit on going up Vesuvius, it’s just a steep dusty gravel path. When you get to the top there are rocky areas where you could sit down but that’s all.
Pompeii has more opportunities for a sit down but it would be on a wall and the city is fairly flat so not too tiring to get around.

We stopped outside Mt Vesuvius at the cafe/restaurant and were given the option of paying €14 a head which included salad, pizza/ pasta, drink and a small pastry. It was yummy food!

We were picked up in Meta, near Sorrento and then dropped off at a train station after. I would reach out directly to the company - they might not be able to pick you up from that station but possibly one closer to the tour site. We left our luggage in the vehicle all day and had no issues.

Pick up is usually at the car park next to the piazza Lauro opposite the grand hotel europa palace. The bus driver was nice enough to drop some people off at their hotel on the way back though. Food is not included but there are lots of restaurants that are nice for lunch for roughly €14 pp in Pompeii
