I wish I could give a 10 Star rating of my experience with Mondo Guide. I want to extend an extra special thank you to Federica for organizing such an amazing three day trip in southern Italy.
Our first day consisted of a private tour of Rovello, Amalfi, and Positano with our tour guide and driver, Giovanni, who was absolutely amazing. He was an excellent tour guide and a wonderful companion. We were all very impressed with his driving skills and how well he spoke English. He made our first day to the Amalfi Coast, Rovello, and Positano very special!
Day 2 was a lovely trip to Capri. We began our experience with a private boat ride around the island of Capri. It was truly an amazing adventure! Though the Blue Grotto was closed because of rough waters, the ride around the island was a trip we will never forget. Our private guide, Valerio, was wonderful. He was very charming and knowledgeable. He seemed to know everything about Capri and everyone in Capri. We did so much! It was a wonderful experience!
Day 3 was Pompeii and what a magnificent tour that was! Mafalda, our private guide, was more than amazing. She was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She went the perfect pace for our large family group of 22 people. She taught us so much about Pompeii that we all forgot how hot it was because we were so captured by the history and the way she conveyed the information. We all loved that she called us "Family" when she wanted to draw our attention to what she had to show us. It was endearing and made everyone feel included as if she was speaking directly to each one of us personally. I watched other guides interact with their groups and felt that not all had the same level of control over their group as Mafalda had with us, which I feel is what made the day so successful. Two hours was the perfect amount of time for the size group we were, and the heat. If the group was smaller, I would have loved to hear and see more.
From Pompeii Gino brought us to Naples. I was very grateful to him for personally driving us around (our tour was to be a walking tour) because, after the morning heat, we (mostly me) were having trouble going to too many places on foot. He was always very attentive and caring.
We very much enjoyed our time in Naples with Francisco, our personal guide. He was very attentive and thorough. He had a lovely walking tour planned and I was grateful that he continuously checked in with us on what we wanted to see and do. He was the perfect person to help end our tour. He instinctively knew just how tired we were (from the sweltering heat) and really allowed us to set the pace. I started getting more and more unwell as the day progressed (I thought it was just the heat) and needed to sit often. Francisco was concerned, very gracious and kind, and numerous times expressed his concern for my well-being.
Thank you so much Mondo Guide for making our trip so full of wonderful experiences and worry free. It was very easy to tell the love and pride each tour guide has for this country and for the places we toured. It was their love and passion that made us all fall in love with each place, just as much as the beautiful scenery itself did. Each guide seemed truly invested in making us see the beauty of the land, the people, and the culture. Not once did any of them try to commercialize the experience by pointing us toward shopping. They focused on the sights and the history of this amazing country. They mentioned (almost as an afterthought) that if we had an interest there would be time for shopping. To me, that's a 10+ Star Service! We left having a love and passion for each place and for Italy as a whole.
Sorry for the long review but I wanted to shar the excellent Mondo Guide experience that we had. On day 1 Giovanni set a very high standard for the quality of experience we should expect (because he was truly amazing) and each guide easily provided the same high standard of service, which I attribute to the love and pride they have for Italy and what we also now share.
I can't thank Mondo Guide and Federica, who expertly coordinated all of our tours, enough for making this a lovely family experience. It is easy to see why Rick Steves recommended you so highly!
I strongly encourage using Mondo Guide to ensure the highest quality experience you can achieve. I have recommended them to several friends and family who also expressed a high level of satisfaction with their travel experience.

We loved this experience SO much! Our driver, Robert was so informative and made the trip so wonderful. We felt we saw so much and would do it again in a heart beat! We were so thankful that we didnt have to plan the logisitics of the trip and it was already handled. Robert was such a wonderful driver as well and even helped other drivers who did not know what they were doing. We felt very safe on those crazy roads!

We had a wonderful day touring the Amalfi Coast with Mondo Tours. Vincenzo was our driver and guide. He was an exceptional host. He was a safe driver and was engaging and knowledgeable. We didn’t have to worry about driving or taking local buses. Pick up and drop off was convenient and easy. The day was well planned. This was the perfect way to visit the Amalfi Coast for our family. We are very grateful to Vincenzo and Mondo Guides for the wonderful experience.

Antonio was a perfect driver! Polite, personable, always on time and pointed out points of interest that we might have missed. We especially love where he brought us to in Ravello for lunch. He is a very calm and relaxed driver, and made us feel like we were in very good hands for the day. I like to think I'm a good driver, but the drive was especially challenging, and we would have missed so much if I was worried about the tiny, curvy roads and traffic. A fabulous experience to a breathtaking area!

We had a wonderful day exploring the Amalfi Coast with Giovanni! Van was spotless and comfortable and we had just enough time to get a taste of each town along the way. The stop at the limoncello factory was a highlight for all! We departed at 9 am and arrived back at the meeting point right at 5 pm. Thank you again!

very beautiful nature, interesting architecture and urbanism. cute romantic houses. it's very interesting to walk around these small curved streets - every now and then some new view is opening up. exciting, calm, Rcure and intrigued spending time in the streets of Positano. Relaxed sightseeing of Vila Rufolo in Ravello. Taking very nice photos from Amalfi.

Our guide, Rino, was kind, helpful, and informative, and stopped at multiple viewpoints, everything we’d hope for in a driver. We had an hour + to explore each town and we’re able to adventure, shop, and see all that we hoped. We would certainly recommend the tour to anyone interested in exploring the Amalfi Coast!

One of the best excursions I have done in Italy. Mafalda our tour guide is very knowledgeable. She knows both important salient points and the trivial information that would satisfy your curiosity. She's also very patient. Love our bus driver Danielle as well. Definitely knows how to navigate the zigzag way down the Amalfi coast. Rick Steve's says this company operates April through October. We will be there in March 2020. Any chance Mondo will have any tours this March?

I know I have asked several questions already-for that I apologize... For me, this is the most important excursion of our trip! It is just my husband and myself booking, how will we know if it is going to be canceled or not before the last minute? It says we have to have at least 6 people to go. 🤔. Any suggestions, or answers?

This was a very important part of our trip, as well. In fact, important enough for us to book a private Amalfi Coast tour through the mondoguide website. On their website, choose Shore Excursions; From port of Napoli; Amalfi Coast (Positano, Amalfi & Ravello); scroll down to choose the number of people 1/2 which is currently 350 euros. You will have a private driver and the day will be yours to choose how long you spend at each stop. Well worth the cost! Rick Steves (travel guide) uses this company.

I can not find this tour again on the TripAdvisor site. The only one I am seeing from Mondo Tours looks like it is set in each area, instead of open to our wishes... I do want to spend time in each area, but I also want to be able to visit Villa Cimbrone in Ravello.

Once I learned the name of the tour company providing the trip, I went outside of Trip Advisor, searched MondoGuide in my web browser, and booked directly through the MondoGuide website. I would have booked through Trip Advisor if I had a party of 6 or more people. Since I only had 3, I looked for an alternative way to book it and be guaranteed the tour would not be cancelled.

We are two people. How do we know if we will be in the larger group or smaller group because the smaller group doesn't have a guide. Does that mean that the driver only does not tell us anything about the area? Is it possible to be dropped off at the sorrento ferry to go to capri instead of going back to Naples? What time would that drop off be so I can schedule the ferry? Right now we have a 5:45 ferry ticket from Sorrento.We are staying near the airport in Naples. What is the best way to get to the pick up location in Naples and how long will it take?
