We did the half day walking tour of Pompeii and it was perfect. Very well organized & professional. Maria was quick to respond to my inquiries, and provided very detailed responses ahead of the day. The day included return private transport from our villa in Positano, which was efficient & reliable. Our driver was wonderful. We had 2 families with 3 children (aged 7, 10 & 12). Loretta was our guide and was fantastic. Very knowledgeable & engaging with the children.
We were there in August so morning option was much more reasonable given the heat at that time of year. With the kids, the half day (2.5 hour) option was ideal. Even as an adult, I think it is probably the right option as we felt we learned a lot about the incredible history, and did not cut corners. Highly recommend this service for families

The best tour for kids in Pompeii! Maria our guide was excellent and we had a blast. I would do this again!

We are traveling with our 11 year old grandson and booked this tour so that the information about Pompeii would be directed to his level of understanding and interest. Our guide, Francesca, did a fabulous job of engaging him (and his grandmother and me!) throughout the tour. She has a thorough knowledge of the archaeology of the site as well as the history and culture of ancient Pompeii. Her delivery is enthusiastic and conversational. The three of us had a delightful afternoon. Our grandson could not wait to get on FaceTime with his parents that evening. He went on for twenty minutes without interruption telling them about Pompeii.

We had booked a family tour of Pompeii as a special birthday treat for my son who had learnt about Pompeii at school. He was super excited to visit, but on the morning that we were due to go, there was a thunderstorm and torrential rain forecast all day. Queue a VERY disappointed boy… Thankfully, Rebecca, who was our tour guide, made everything better! She was absolutely brilliant with the children. She gave masses of information at a perfect level for them; she ran a child ‘v’ adults question competition throughout and just generally inspired us all so much so, that the torrential rain was irrelevant! Thank you soooo much for allowing Pompeii to live up to my son’s expectations despite the awful weather!

I cannot say enough about our guide Antonio, who was absolutely delightful and wonderful with our kids (ages 5/9/11), in addition to deeply knowledgeable about the overwhelming ruins of Pompeii. I hope to return one day soon and wouldn’t consider any guide except Antonio (as he said, to see all of Pompeii you’d need to visit every day for a month!); we did a 2.5 hour tour and thanks to the 5 year old we couldn’t move very fast, but it was a wonderful introduction to this incredible site.
One of the best parts of Antonio’s approach was the way he asked the kids questions and helped them figure out why things were a certain way, or what specific clues mean and tell us. I know they learned (and will retain) way more than if they’d just been lectured, and he also kept them very engaged throughout. Truly A+.

Our tour was amazing and our family learned a lot. The kids were entertained the whole time — they loved learning about the acrostics of the theatre and identifying the different shops/fast food places.

Dire consigliato è poco. Temo di non visitare mai più nella vita un sito archeologico con tanto coinvolgimento ed entusiasmo. Far amare e comprendere la storia e la bellezza di Pompei anche a due bambini di 10 e 12 anni non era impresa facile. Lello ci è riuscito alla grande con la sua passione, la sua simpatia e la capacità di coinvolgere tutti con esempi, storielle e piccoli quiz x rendere il tutto immediato e comprensibile. Domani a scuola mia figlia farà un bellissimo reportage sull'esperienza vissuta, ricorda ogni minimo dettaglio di quanto visto e sentito. Pompei è una meraviglia, una fetta di storia a cielo aperto, Lello ne dà il valore aggiunto. Da non perdere

Loretta ci ha accompagnato in giro per le rovine per 2 ore e 30 minuti. È riuscita a intrattenere i nostri bimbi di 6 e 9 anni con indovinelli e premi. È stata molto paziente e gentile, oltre che molto preparata. Il tour è proprio adatto ai bimbi, ci ha accompagnato nelle case e nei luoghi più interessanti in modo da non annoiarli. E anche la durata ci è sembrata adeguata. Lo consiglio.

Wow, honestly, I can't say how Pompeii would have been without Lello's expertly executed tour, but I think we would have felt ill educated and lost to be honest. We are a family of 2 adults, 2 children - 8 and 5 - and whilst our 5 year old possibly did struggle to stay engaged, our 8 year old absolutely loved learning about the Roman culture and felt very included by way of Lello asking him questions to get his brain juices flowing.
It was a great tour for us too, very educational and it really brought it to life. Lello clearly knows his stuff and is very passionate about archaeology. He also seemed to know (and be known) by everyone and managed to get us in some back entrance really fast, avoiding the crowds (not that it was as busy as usual, due to Covid, but still a fair few people in groups).
He came up with hilarious nicknames for our children (our youngest will now forever be known as 'nightmare'!) and he found us shade to stand in whilst imparting with his knowledge.
I would 100% recommend him/his company, well worth every penny!
