The tour fortunately ended up being just our family of 4, and Lello made it feel like a family of 5! He was an incredibly welcoming and humorous guide, and paid close attention to even the smallest of details. Heartfelt thanks Lello, we highly recommend Lello for Pompeii guided tour

We had an excellent and unique experience being guided around Pompei by Lello, who made ancient Pompei come alive to our family. A very nice, engaging and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!

We had allesio (sorry if spelt wrong), in a small group of about 10. When we got there knew we were in for a good tour. The guide was able to not only show us the stuff we were meant to see but he also explained information really well, and was able to answer any questions we had. Only issue was we didn’t have long enough, we had a 2 hour tour where we were still able to see about a third of the city, but was definitely a lot more to see if you had the time. Other thing is tickets to enter Pompeii aren’t included in the tour however the staff, are more than willing to help you organise and get tickets. Overall great experience with these guys and would 100% recommend

It was already impressive that Lello is an archeologist, but it also felt like we were with a professor in the way he presented his knowledge, but something that can not be taught in school is personality. His interactive style and sense of humor was something that helped make for an unforgettable experience, and I could tell when I looked around at other tour groups in both languages, that we had the privilege of being with the absolute best.

Lello was a fabulous guide he brought the sort of Pompeii to life as we walked around. He provided context and laughter. My son and I LOVED our tour and I would pick Lello every time! He was fabulous.

Lello was the best tour guide I have ever had—and all of Pompeii seems to agree! Everyone in the ruins seemed to know him, greeting him, shaking his hand, and playing along with his jokes. I got the sense that he was friends with everyone there.
He took care of our intimate group from start to finish; understanding when a couple came late, and saved me from ticket trouble on two separate occasions! He even keeps extra maps on hand to give to lost-looking tourists (at least one was very grateful). His storytelling and knowledge was passionate, engaging and full of humor, wonder, and awe. Even having visited Pompeii before and studied ancient Roman history, I still learned a ton from Lello that I never knew before.
It even felt like he personalized the tour after he found out I was a linguist, spending time talking about etymologies and other linguistic details of the Latin and Greek heritage of the site.
When I come back to this area of Italy, the first thing I’ll do is check if Lello is available to do another tour.

Leonardo was the best tour guide my husband and I have ever had! His number one priority was ensuring we got the most out of our tour of the Pompeii ruins by explaining everything in detail and spending extra time with us without minding. We were very lucky in that no one else joined our semi-private tour so we ended up getting a private tour! Leonardo was very professional, knowledgeable, and made the tour so much fun. My husband and I’s running joke for the remainder of our tours in Italy was that “we wish Leonardo was here to be our tour guide again.” We highly recommend this tour and will definitely request Leonardo when we visit again!

We were with a larger bus tour, so only had limited time to visit. The city is larger than you think and having a guide was the best. We covered 1/3 of it in 2.5 hours. Leonardo was fantastic! We ended up only having the three of us on the tour and he was so knowledgeable, knew how to navigate the crowds, was friendly with all the other staff, and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing day visiting Mt. Vesuvius, a local winery at the base of the volcano, and touring Pompeii. Our driver, Guido, was friendly and courteous. Our semi-private Pompeii tour was led by Leilo. An archeologist by trade, Leilo presented the history of Pompeii in a fun and memorable way! You will not be disappointed.
