Amalfi Coast and Pompeii

It was a long day trip but very nice. Arturo (driver) and Monica were our guides. They are very nice and took good care of us, and made sure that we were always comfortable. They gave us some interesting facts about Italy while driving to places. The Pompeii guide was also excellent.

Well worth the time and expense!

It was a wonderful trip. Long day but well worth it! Marguerite and Giuseppe were wonderful travel guides and companions!

Perfect day!

We booked a day tour to Pompeii and Positano, Almafi Coast from Rome and it was fantastic! Dina, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave clear information on what’s on our itinerary and provided lots of interesting facts about Italy. She also made sure everyone was comfortable and that we were all well taken care of ! Maximo the professional, our driver, drove safely and was helpful. The drive on the Almafi coast was beautiful. Although the roads were narrow, it was a safe and smooth ride ! Thanks Dina and Maximo, we had a perfect day!

Amazing day trip

It was a fabulous day. We felt extremely taken care of and the sights were amazing. Great memories and amazing pictures.

Mixed feelings but nevertheless an interesting day

Let’s say the region is extremely crowded during the month of August, if you can avoid this period do. But we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Driver and travel companion provided by the company were very nice and very helpful, a long day for them as well! The experience in itself was = the visit of Pompeii was somehow disappointing not just because of the crowd. The official guide was very nice. I think probably one of the oldest ones on spot, a relic 😂 but if you are interested in a more in-depth discovery, probably not the way to go. Mostly things were named, pointed out to us, but no in depth explanation was given. It sounded a bit staged, learned by heart and no real possibility to ask questions even if we were only 6 . I booked experiences via other companies, but I must admit on a completely private tour basis that were, more satisfying. But even in Pompei we saw guides and listened in on things that were said next to us that were more energetic entertaining and deep.
Restaurant suggestion in Positano was ok, place overpriced and touristy but they all are, a part if you stay higher up. We were already happy to get a table kindly arranged by our help/driver . Altogether it’s nice for a first discovery , which it was for my son but not overwhelming and if you have been there before and live history which is my case slightly disappointing.

Loved it... very nice

Our guide, Juliana and our driver, were on time to take us on a very smooth ride to the coast with a stop at Pompeii. We had a very good tour with Miguel in Pompeii. He is very knowledgeable. And them a marvelous lunch in Positano an another stop ay Amalfi. Was great. We will do it again with them next time we ate in Rome

Fabulous Day

Fabulous tour. I wish we took the ferry over to Positano since the ride was very windy and I got kinda car sick, but it was worth it. My husband’s favorite part was Pompeii. Mine was Positano. The shops there are fabulous and the food was amazing.

Wonderful trip with equally fantastic guides

We scheduled this trip ahead of a cruise and we are sure glad we did. The guides went out of their way to give us so much information and really enhanced the trip. Our guide in Pompeii was exceptional. I would highly recommend this trip and it is worth the investment.

Come prepared but don’t miss Positano

We had a family discussion about what to rate this tour - the adults said 4 and the kids 3. I think because it is a long day and quite exhausting in the heat, without much free time. As adults we know this is to maximise the opportunity to see such an amazing part of Italy and with the knowledge that it’s quite a distance from Rome. Keep that in mind when booking this tour and be well rested. I can only imagine how exhausted the guide and driver must be by the end of the day. That said if you are in Rome and only have a spare day, you would be remiss to not get to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. A few disasters hit us along the way with left over coffee in the back of the van from another group covering my 12 year old after a sharp turn, the winding roads of the Amalfi making both teens sick and one vomit into a spare hat followed by a bad fall in Pompeii (probably from exhaustion). My tip, take travel pills, rest up and prepare. My daughter did say - why aren’t we staying in Positano - this place is amazing. Sorry to Hector our Pompeii guide that we were a bit shattered during his tour. His passion was obvious but sadly we had limited energy in the 35 degree heat!!

All our staff is carefully selected and all companions and drivers must have the characteristic of satisfying customers' needs and providing emotions. We remind you that this tour is a window onto our wonderful country and to maintain what we have described, we must reduce the time spent in the places of interest and the traffic in this period does not help. In this period there have been many landslides on the Amalfi Coast and this has caused many inconveniences to traffic, in some places vehicles had to circulate in one direction but the beauty of the unmistakable and magical panorama of the Amalfi Coast makes us forget about some small inconveniences caused by curves, traffic and narrow streets. during the shoulder season we have less traffic and can give us more time in the places we visit. We hope to have you with us on your next trip to Italy to make you visit other places.

Amalfi coast and Pompei Tour

This was a fantastic tour! JB and Alex were very attentive and helpful the entire day! We were laughing like old friends by the end of the day together. The tour of Pompei with a guide was excellent and very educational. I highly recommend this tour company!
