Great tour! Our guide was very knowledgable and provided fantastic information about the art and history. He also provided some recommendations for the other art and museums in the city. Would do again the next time.

Absolutely amazing tour, best one to do if you want to see everything about the Coloseum! You also get a in-depth tour of the Roman forum too which was amazing!
The tour guide I think was called Rita, she was such a bubbly and informative tour guide. Her English was amazing and could understand everything she had to say!
I even got lost at the beginning of the tour to meet the company and I called the number on the paperwork and someone picked up straight away and helped me find the tour office.

Overall we really enjoyed this tour. Our guide for the Roman forum was great really knowledgeable and his explanations were really clear and explained in a manner that was accessible to the layman. It was great to see the Colosseum but the guide unfortunately came across as bored and unenthusiast. Would reccomend but be prepared that your guide in the Colosseum may not be as inspiring as your surroundings.

Our guide was very informative, she is an archeologist. She answered all our questions. The Palatine hill tour went too fast, you could tell he was tired of his job.

Great tour with friendly and knowledgeable guides. Really enjoyed the Colosseum " all over tour "......incredible. Got lots of history info and related stories. Well worth the $.

We loved this tour! Our tour guide was Paul who was great. He kept the tour interesting and moving to see every thing the entire time. The skip the line aspect is HUGE and definitely worth it on any of these tours. Bring your water bottle which was needed with being out in the sun for 3 hours! Also, I saw previous reviews mention it but our tour time was pushed back so if you do chose this one consider that possibility when planning other events for the day you book this tour and check your email up until the day is it scheduled.

We found the individual tour guides very knowledgeable and this made our tour memorable. We saw the entire Colosseum from dungeon to top floor with many photo opportunities along the way. We toured the Palatine hill and Forum. Spectacular history lesson. Great tour from this perspective. The only down side was that unlike all other Colosseum tours, the meeting point was very difficult to find. Most tours meet across the street from the Colosseum with a guide holding a large sign identifying the tour company. We struggled to find the meeting point, finally having to call the company for better directions than what was written on the ticket receipt. Even then it was hidden around some corner above the metro station second floor. It would have been more helpful to identify themselves on the Main Street like the other companies. Once we finished the Colosseum tour we were told to wait for our next guide. He would find us from our stickers. He was 10 mins late and once again the guide was not visible and we felt lost once again. Very disappointed in the organization of this tour.

This tour was in two parts firstly the Colosseum and then Palatine Hill. Both guides were very informative and this took over 3 hrs in total. The only critisism I have is the guide for Palatine Hill did not provide us with audio equipment or have a microphone and we were all walking at different paces (one. lady was disabled) and it was hard for her to keep up.

We have an early access Vatican tour at 7:30 the same day. Are both tours feasible in one day? Will we be pushing it on time? I believe, we are fine, but just want to check!

FYI: even if you have early access to the Vatican, there may be delays based on priorities of charter groups and such. That depends on which company your Vatican tour is scheduled. A tour to the Coliseum may be booked later in the afternoon, or evening, again depending on which company you choose. Make sure if you walk up to the Palantine Hill. There are some great treasures there, plus a wonderful view of the Forum. Afte walking through the Forum, visit Vittorio Emanuele II and go to the top of the building for an outstanding view of Rome.

The guide stayed with us apart from 10 minutes at the end of the Coliseum tour and before the Palatine Hill tour. It was supposed to be 30 minutes but our guide was so thorough and interesting that we ran over time!

The Colosseum portion is with an official Colosseum employee tour guide. Then you regroup outside the Colosseum to meet up with a second tour guide to do both Palantine Hill and the forum together.
