Absolutely couldn’t recommend this enough! Not too far outside of Rome! The food you make is delicious! You get the opportunity to make ravioli, pasta, egg plant!

WOWWWWWW! My family and I had such an amazing time on this tour! It was absolutely perfect! Claudia and Bruno provided such a heartfelt and genuine experience it literally left my mother in tears of joy. Bruno picked us up from the train station and took us to their gorgeous home in the Roman countryside where he showed us his 60+ olive trees and small wine vineyard. Claudia welcomed us into their adorable countryside home and showed us around her garden where she grows a grocery store's variety of herbs and spices. She then taught us how to make ravioli and linguini/fettucine from scratch around her dining room table, and then moved us into the kitchen for fried/stuffed zucchini flower, fried sage, eggplant parmesan, vegetarian meatballs, traditional Roman stuffed bell peppers, and a mullberry sorbet with berries from their mullberry tree. We got to enjoy the fruits of our labor around their gorgeous outside dining room table underneath a veranda covered by grapes with homemade wine. Claudia was so friendly, patient (my parents don't cook much), and helpful with what to do.
We were sad to leave when the time came, and Claudia was kind enough to send us detailed recipes on what we had made during dinner. It was such a wonderful experience, truly a high light in our tour to Rome. If you've been thinking about taking a cooking tour or wanting to learn to make pasta, stop looking - you've found the perfect way to do it.

Fantastic day in Roman county side learning about past and meat dishes. Our hosts made sure we had all the important information on getting to the country side from Rome, and picked us up from the train station. We were welcomed into Bruno and Claudia’s home with cookies and coffee and given a tour of their beautiful gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed making stuffed pasta and sauces, and a variety of meats and appetizers while sampling our hosts own wine and olive oil. Bruno played piano and Claudia rolled pasta. Fantastic experience!

Not sure I was up to this on a Sunday morning when my husband booked it, but so so glad he did.
It was the most fabulous way to spend the day. Beautiful countryside, amazing cooking, delicious food, drink and hospitality.
Claudia & Bruno were such a generous, hospitable, entertaining couple and we had such fun as a family including 2 teenagers.
Bruno's keyboard playing whilst we were cooking was magical and Claudia's singing (voice) was ooh la la - incredible!
Definitely one of our most fun and memorable holicay activities, would recommend to anyone whose up for something a little different to the usual cooking lesson, up for fun and great company..

What do you call it when everything comes together? The smells, the food, the company, the sights, even the MUSIC?! You call it cooking with Claudia!
As my GF and I were wrapping up our Italian vacation we had two days in Rome. I know what you’re thinking, “what is there to do after the tourists crap”? The truth, nothing besides sit in traffic. But hold your horses, there’s cooking with Claudia! Situated about 40 min outside of Rome in Zagarolo, Claudia and her helper/husband/one man band have created an ideal food lovers paradise.
On an off Monday before we were flying back to America’s armpit of a capital my GF set up a cooking class with Claudia and it was seriously the highlight of our trip. We were greeted by Claudia and her wonderful husband Bruno. Right away they made us feel at ease in their wonderful bungalow. After some pleasantries and an introduction to some delicious wine cookies (yeah, awesome, I know) we got down to cooking. No sooner did we do that than Bruno hopped on the piano and started planing some Queen.
We cooked so much food I thought we were going to feed an Army. Claudia kept surprising me by turning the most simple ingredients into wonderfully smelling treats (fried Sage in homemade batter? Yes please!) Claudia and Bruno make their own wine (yes, it’s delicious), olive oil (yes, it’s delicious too), but they also have all sorts of fresh herbs growing on their property. Oh, you like fresh sage and fennel? Claudia or Bruno will go grab some from the garden for you to add to your meal.
I wish my words could do the dinner justice. The company, food, home made wine, and Billy Joel hits on the piano created an atmosphere that neither I or my GF will soon forget. Eating a truly fresh meal with garden ingredients under a grape vine covered pergola in a late summer evening with great people is something you can’t put a price on. The only downside is that I asked to be adopted and my offer was not accepted, so I guess I’ll continue to adult.
I wish I could do this once a week but alas I must return to the good old US of A. However, if you’re in the area, and are interested in a great evening with great people (and want to hear some Billy Joel) I would highly recommend this class!

I was initially unsure about booking this mainly because the trains from Rome on this day took 1 hour (instead of the usual 30 mins). But I'm so glad I booked it!! My husband and I arrived in Zagarolo, and Bruno picked us up to drive us to his home! Bruno and Claudia were so warm and welcoming into their home! Claudia gave us a little tour of her new kitchen and garden, gave us a cup of coffee to start. We learned so many dishes - pavlova, aubergine parmigiano, ricotta and chard Ravioli, Spagetti pomodoro, and fried zucchini flowers! It was very hands on, and honestly a great experience! We then sat altogether with Claudia's family in her garden to eat the delicious meal we cooked! The whole experience felt very authentic with this lovely Italian family. Bruno gave us some of his vineyard wine and olive oil, we enjoyed some prosecco, listened to him play and sing on the piano! And since the trains weren't running regularly this day, he was kind enough to drop us further away to the last stop of the Rome metro! Overall, I would definitely recommend this, and fully deserves 5*!

BEST PART OF OUR TRIP TO ITALY! We spent the last morning of our trip cooking in Zagarolo with Cene in casa e musica! We cooked alongside Claudia while Bruno, her husband, played and sang some of our favorite tunes! MAGICAL doesn’t begin to express how awesome it was. This is a MUST DO in Italy! We felt at home and couldn’t stop smiling, and let me tell you, we made some Buonissimo food and drank some of their delicious homemade wine! Grazie mille Claudia, Bruno, and Francesca for such a wonderful day!

Ho partecipato alla lezione assieme ad un gruppo di amici. Grazie al delizioso senso dell’ospitalità di Claudia e alle sue competenze gastronomiche che spaziano dai piatti contemporanei alle ricette della tradizione,abbiamo passato una giornata meravigliosa e imparato tantissimo su come preparare pietanza con amore in poco tempo e con risultati pazzeschi.

We couldn't have asked for a better start to our week in Rome!!
My boyfriend and I got lost on the way there and arrived late, luckily we were the only ones booked for the day and Claudia was so sweet and waited for us to begin the cooking! Her home is beautiful, and she makes you feel right at home. We spent the day laughing and attempting to re-create Claudia's amazing dishes! We had lunch outside in the garden, drinking wine and eating delicious food. Time flew by way too quick, I hope to come back another time for a different class!!

Hi! I was just wondering how long this takes? I'm buying the train tickets and I'm not sure what time I should buy my ticket for going back to Rome? There is a ticket at 14:49.. would that be good/too late/too early?

There are regional trains that depart from Rome Termini and take some 20 minutes and another 35, and also for the return it is the same.
