I’ve been on several food tours. This wasn’t one of the best. The group was too large to hear well and move easily from place to place. Mattei was friendly but not particularly attentive. The most interesting part was the Jewish ghetto, and we went back there to explore more.
We tasted sauces and vinegars at the first stop and were offered a small discount off the “tourist price.” We should’ve paid more attention to the final price before checking out because it was still too high.

This tour is really well done. You get view of the city that I don’t think most will get, you get snippets of history, you get to taste all kinds of interesting food, you get to meet a lot of interesting people. Our tour guide. Maria was knowledgeable and funny it was just a really good time well worth your time and money.

Very enjoyable and informative tour. Marco was friendly and knowledgeable about both the areas we explored and the food we were eating and the food and wine was delicious!

Guide never showed up, I sent a message and they changed us to another tour, so we ran to a different location to meet up with the other tour. The guide was great, tour was fine, food ok not great.

A fun & entertaining morning with the wonderful Greeta! Packed full of information, of local food, nibbles, tastings of wine,beer. We thought this tour was great value and a lovely way to spend around 4 hours!

This is a great way to walk the back streets of Rome and sample local food with a guide. You are away from the tourist spots and can take in the surroundings. Eating then walking was a great way to burn calories as well. Our samples ended with an ice cream of our choice at Gunther’s. A fun way to spend an evening.

We had a great time trying the local food and wine, our tour guide also provided information on the local area and monuments/fountains. A few of the places were quite busy so it was good that we could just walk straight in with the tour. We had salami, supli, pasta, tiramisu and gelato, with a chilled red wine and a white wine. We took our time and took photos, got to know the other people on the tour and learned about Rome while eating great food, took around 3 hours in the end. Would recommend.

Barbara, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful! Pleasant & very easy to follow and learn with! Even showed us extras which was great! Definitely doing this again and requesting Barbara! Many thanks ☺️

Our guide was Matteo and he gave a marvelous tour, very knowledgeable about the origins of the food and drinks but also about the historical significance of the areas we visited. I would definitely recommend the tour . It was 4 hours in total , we covered a wide area but at a leisurely pace and all on level ground. Excellent

Our guide Marco was knowledgeable, helpful and made it easy to identify the different food presentations. We also loved the little known historical sights between each location. It was a local view of the city. So much fun and delicious.

Thank you for the response to my question posed yesterday. Another question: We were considering taking a general, 1 1/2 or 3 hour tour of Rome just to get familiar with the area... a quick tour of the general sites and areas, on the first day after we arrive to Rome (we will stay for one week). From what I have read in some of your reviews, it seems that this tour combines some of the sites, and history with the food aspect. So, if we take this tour and not a general site tour, will it give us a good lay of the land at the start of our trip? Thank you all for taking time to answer my questions!
