Our longtime family friends returned from an Italian vacation years ago raving about their experience with Marco, so he was our family’s first and obvious choice when we booked our own trip in 2017. We have shared countless, incredible adventures together now over the past six years!
We’ve sailed the Amalfi coast, swam in the waters of Tropea, toured the gardens of Tivoli, and hunted truffles in San Miniato. We bought our first piece of authentic mosaic art in the hilltop village of Montepulciano. We learned how to make mozzarella cheese in Sorrento and fresh tagliatelle pasta in San Gimignano. We’ve visited several wineries across the country, learning the differences between grapes, regions, bottling processes, and of course sampling them all!
We share so many great memories, but possibly one of the most special was a family trip for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. My father’s family is from a small town in Calabria that has its own dialect, and virtually nobody speaks English. Marco did a lot of research and took us to the town and cemetery where my great-grandparents are buried. We never could have done it without Marco’s help, and while we were all grateful my father was extremely touched by this experience.
Marco is professional but friendly and speaks fluent English. Give him ideas of what you’d like to do and see, and he will exceed your expectations. He will take you to places you didn’t know existed, and suggest experiences you hadn’t even considered. We have referred several of our own friends and family to him with confidence. Highly recommend!
