Our Pantheon tour with Irene was absolutely fantastic. (We booked with The Tour Guy, and apparently it was subcontracted out to Doooing, which was very responsive and great all around.) Irene was friendly, energetic, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the experience both engaging and informative. You could tell she truly loved sharing the history of the Pantheon and Rome generally, and her enthusiasm was contagious.
She gave great historical context, explaining not just the architectural marvels of the building but also the cultural and religious significance of the site. The way she described the oculus, the engineering behind the dome, and the way light moves through the space made us deeply appreciate it.
It was a well-structured tour, long enough to be insightful despite focusing on a single location. We left feeling like we had a much deeper understanding of the structure. If you’re visiting Rome, don’t miss this tour, particularly with Irene.
