We had a great time on our walking tour, which turned out to be a private tour with just me and my husband. Our guide Marta was wonderful, so kind and knowledgeable and passionate about the art and history of Ravenna she shared with us. There were so many details we would not have seen without her. She was fun and easy to talk to, and did not mind when I stopped to take many, many photos. Thank you Marta!

The trip to Ravenna to see the mosaics was a delightful experience. Marialaura our guide was engaging and very knowledgable on all the area we visited. She connected well with all our group. Marialaura was able to convey information in a simple and clear manner which we could all understand. Highly recommended.

Is there a tour guide that can advise on round trip train from Bologna to Ravenna and offer a walking tour of Ravenna?

The round trip can be done by train from Bologna main train station and is fairly cheap. The guided tour you will have to book separately. The train takes about 1h, but make sure you validate the ticket at the station, otherwise you could face a fine of 75 euros per person,... which somehow we managed to wriggle out of it with excuse after excuse. Machines are pretty small and on the underground corridor towards the platforms,... don't make our same mistake or a cheap fair can turn into a very expensive one. The mosaics are unique and very much worth visiting.

We caught the fast train not the local RE. It’s good but you must prebook a seat before. It does cost extra. We precooked a guided tour. There were just the three of and met our guide at a prearranged place. She was excellent. Went to all the main churches and Dante’s grave. Had a nice walk around Ravenna. She was very nice and knowledgeable. Interacted well with us. Was definitely worth the trip. Amazing experience.
