Esperienza indimenticabile.
Katrin è una vera local, conosce perfettamente il luogo, le sue caratteristiche, il vino ed è in grado di rendere fruibili la sua conoscenza e competenza anche a chi poco s'intende.

I will start my review by stating that I honestly have never left a review positive or negative for any activity I have done for my many travels. However I felt compelled to leave an excellent review to support Katrin and the business she is working hard to build. I cannot say enough good things about her and this experience. She is a proud Slovenian woman running and her own winery in a small town in the hills overlooking Trieste. I could not have asked for a more authentic, educational, and fun wine tasting experience. This is not some manufactured experience from a corporation. You really feel like you are learning from a local expert and have been invited into someone’s home. On the day we went it was rainy but that didn’t hamper our experience at all. Although, if you are lucky with good weather the view from her vineyard is incredible overlooking the water. She set us up inside her wine cellar and treated us to unique wines and the most incredible board of cheeses, meats, and fruits. If you are looking to really immerse yourself into the local culture and want to try unique wines you won’t find anywhere else, then this wine tasting is for you!

Lovely evening with our host, Katrin as she gave us a glimpse into her life of making wine. The vineyard setting was beautiful for our tasting and group small enough to be personal. Definitely recommend if you're interested in learning more about the area and tasting in a lovely setting.

We had a wonderful visit with Katrin at Klin Vineyards, a woman-owned vineyard. This vineyard has been in her family for 5 generations. Katrin shared her passion about making wine, her land’s history and her chickens! We walked the streets together to get to the vineyard where we sampled three different kinds of “Prosecco “ and a delicious tray of charcuterie from the local bakery and Katrin’s neighbor, Erica.
We ended our visit watching a beautiful sunset.
The 7 of us traded stories and laughter as we sipped and ate. Katrin nimbly switched between English, Italian, Slovenian and German.
A wonderful way to spend a few hours.

From the Prosecco town, vineyards, amazing view of the sea and the beautiful Miramar Castle, this has been a totally different wine experience, one of the bests!
You learn about the origin of the Prosecco wine and you get fully immersed in the history and amazing vibe that this location has to offer.
Katrin was superb: she is a great tour guide and makes this amazing natural wine called Mira el Mar, that she would pair with amazing local food.
We also had the pleasure of trying the Viktor, and orange wine that Katrin has produced in honor of her grandfather!
I highly recommend this tour!
Ps: the chickens are friendly and you can also pet them!!!!

Katrin's tour perfectly combined wine tasting with the captivating history of the region, as well as interesting information on how geography has shaped the local winemaking experience throughout the years. I thoroughly enjoyed the idyllic sceneries of vineyards overlooking the Adriatic while tasting a wonderful selection of sparkling whites combined with organic food from nearby farmers. Katrin is a wonderful host, knowledgeable and friendly - she is the perfect guide if you're looking to book a wine experience when in Trieste or nearby.

Bellissima esperienza, per la bellezza dei luoghi (borgo carsico di Kontovel e vigneti Klin) e per la disponibilità/professionalità dimostrata dalla splendida “vignaiola” Katrin, nostra guida nelle vigne e nella degustazione di ottimi “Prosekar’.

io e il mio compagno avevamo già partecipato ad altre degustazioni in cantina, ma questa ci ha davvero sorpreso. Katrin, la viticoltrice che ci ha accolti, prima di portarci nella sua vigna ci ha raccontato, passeggiando per Contovello, antico borgo a 20 minuti di macchina da Trieste, la genesi dei vini del luogo, nonché le antiche tradizioni degli abitanti del paese. arrivati nella sua vigna ci siamo trovati di fronte una vista mozzafiato. abbiamo degustato 3 diversi tipi di vini da lei prodotti e assaggiato salumi e formaggi di una produttrice del luogo. la cantina è piccola, molto artigianale e lontanissima dalle cantine industriali che avevamo visitato sino a quel momento.
Katrin è simpatica, affabile e molto ospitale .
è un'esperienza che consiglio vivamente, vale ampiamente la cifra spesa.

Best wine tasting i’ve had in years! Katrin was a knowledgeable host. She knew her history of the town AND the winery in the region and she also have a very interesting backstory too! Her expertise and passion for her wines flowed over to all who took part in the tour. We’ll be back as soon as possible. Thanks a lot Katrin! @klon.vina
