Was perfect. A nice stroll with a local who guided me to key vantage points while talking about local culture + history. A perfect blend. It felt like being with a good friend.

Antonella was so sweet and seemed very passionate about sharing her love for her city. We covered a lot of ground on this tour. We didnt request to see anything specific on his tour so she just guided us but im sure she could customize a tour with advance notice/request. We went on a sunday so a lot of things were closed and she improvised things to see well. She gave interesting information about history and the city culture. We learned/saw things we definitely would not have seen/found on our own. Thanks for a great day!

Having a local guide who was personable and knowledgeable. Covered a fair amount of Genoa in three hours. And then traveled to Boccadass on guide's recommendation.

Realizamos nuestro tour con Antonella y fue súper interesante!
Nos permitió viajar en el tiempo y descubrir la historia alucinante de Génova, recorrimos la mayoría de los lugares de interés e incluso algunas joyas ocultas. Nos sorprendió Génova!

If you have an emergency, get sick, something happens, etc. Be prepared to have you money STOLEN. Life happens but they don’t care. I paid nearly 300 for nothing. Tried to get a refund because my girlfriend got sick unexpectedly and they said no. I’ll take it up with my bank and I will get my refund. I’m not giving money away.

Our tour guide Pier was a bit eccentric. First guide cancelled and he was a substitute. He was very robotic and slow. Lots of awkward pauses. He was good at turning what seemed to be his usual 2 hour tour into our three hour tour. He also could not go by a cafe without stopping in for an espresso. We had one with him but then there were three others he did on his own - very strange for a tour guide with clients in tow. Lots of wasted time and we ended up only hitting the first 3 of our Request List:
1 - See the Port
2 - Walk the old part of Genoa and see historic places
3 - Wander alleyways that show the changing Genoa
4 - See the seaside neighborhood of Boccadasse
5 - Do some shopping
6 - Visit the candy shop from the 1700's,
7 - Finish w/ lunch restaurant w/ a table overlooking the beach
1 - See the Port

Pier's tour of Genoa was very informative and gave us interesting insights into Genoa's rich history. We enjoyed the pace of the tour and Pier was also able to give us some really great tips for how to spend the rest of our 2 days in town.

Antonella and Gabriele were fantastic! They definitely know the history and the places to go in the city. I had no idea about the rich history of Genoa, like the palaces. It was a really interesting tour!

Pier’s incredible knowledge of Genovese art and architectural history made for a great 3 hour tour. He also researched gluten free food options which I truly appreciated.

We (2 of us) are most interested in this tour. We understand that the tour is conducted by a local with a local's perspective and not loaded with historical facts. We are very interested in including Via Giuseppe Garibaldi in our tour. Would the guide be knowledgeable of the history of the various homes and able to put things in context and maybe share some stories about some historical residents?

Yes. We were very fortunate with this tour. We walked all over the city. We did a review of our terrific lady guide. Please see our review as I have forgotten her name! She even ran into 3-4 locals who knew her. One of our better walking tours!
