Good experience in the middle of the city. Walking distance from our hotel in porta venezia, also walking distance to duomo milano and brera area. So you can do all of those place in one go. The Castello was beautiful and clean. There was a small shop in the back area of the castle on the way to parco sempione selling hot choco and fries that were really one of the best we had in milano.

Sforza Castle is an amazing place to visit. We have been there a couple of times and it was nice to visit again. It's a museum housing masterpieces of great painters and sculptors. Some of Michelangelo's works are kept there like the Rondanini Pietà on which he worked for over ten years until his death.

For September the castle was quite busy, with a lot of people gathering in the most popular sections. My recommendation would be to visit all the smaller galleries and experiences before the main walk around the castle. If you buy the audio guide I would recommend bringing headphones unlike ourselves who totally forgot! Oops! You could stay and explore the castle for quite a while so bring drinks as it gets pretty warm. There is a locker system to store bags and other personal belongings when walking around for only a euro, which you do get back.
Just a heads up for tourists - if you have never been to Milan before, be careful for people walking around offering free bracelets, just say no and keep walking as sadly they are there to scam you!!!

My wife and I joined a small group of about 10 people for this guided tour. The guide (Lorella) was outstanding. She gave us a tour of the most important parts of the castle. Her explanations were deep, informative, and engaging.

Beautiful place, free to enter the grounds but costs for each museum. Recommend the tour as it takes you to the highlights, and you can linger afterward to see more items. Lots of interesting history and large collections of items.

A very interesting visit. The museum is amazing with lots of things to see: from paintings to furniture, from musical instruments to porcelain. Entry to the castle is free but museums cost 8€. The Pieta museum is not worth visiting - just one sculpture and nothing else. Otherwise the visit is a must when in Milan!

Huge castle and multiple museums. Of course including the Michelangelo sculpture. Take your time to enjoy the museums. Go on top so you can see the whole castle. The audio guide requires you to download their app. My phone only has 4G with TMobil. Wish they let you know earlier so I could download the app before hand.

Castello history was very interesting and our guide, Lara, was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. We had a great time and stayed linger to visit more of the castle.
