Excellent tour to see the Duomo, terraces and museum. The guide was very knowledgeable. The group was less than 20 in size.

Lots of information about the Duomo and fascinating trip into basement and on to roofs. Paula was keen on imparting as much knowledge as possible -quite tiring but worth it!

The best of Milan is the Duomo. The details are impressive and our guide made the most to show them Terraces from other world with a mix of view architecture and beauty. This tour is a must in Milan

This is definitely the way to do it. Book this beforehand and you will avoid long and soul destroying cues! Present your booking details to the ticket office right next to the cathedral (NOT the ticket offices across the road with the long cues!) to receive your ticket. Keep your ticket as you need it at different access points.
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. This trip included a tour through the cathedral, a “secret” archeological area underneath the main outside square, and of course the rooftop which was amazing.
Access to the rooftop is via a lift (be prepared to wait a short while as it is a very small lift), you have to take the stairs going down. All ok.

Tour guide was full of information, it lasted almost two hours as it included the rooftop. Price of tour was only slightly more than purchasing tickets, well worth the slight difference!!

Anfangs hatten wir Schwierigkeiten unseren Guide zu finden. Es gab zwei Infopoints für Guides durch den Dom. Betreuer vor Ort hatten uns verschiedene Infos gegeben, wo unsere Tickets zur Abholung seien. Wir sind dann zu der besagten Adresse lt. Buchung gegangen, jedoch wusste hier niemand Bescheid.
Dann wieder retour zum Infopoint direkt am Dom. Dann hatten wir endlich unseren Guide entdeckt. Hatte uns einige Zeit (und Nerven) gekostet.
Für deutschsprachige würden wir auch die deutsche Führung empfehlen. Wir hatten einen englischen Guide, dieser war durch den italienischen Akzent schwer zu verstehen. In der Tour wird sehr viel über die Architektur gesprochen. Man könnte auch ohne Guide den Dom besuchen.

Our guide was very skilled and presented important details in a very interesting way. Our family kept the focus because of the interesting speeches from the guide and learned so much about the Duome, although a slightly shorter tour could be beneficial.

Although having booked two tickets for this tour we were unable to locate the meeting place in time & thus missed out on the whole tour. Cost to us €145 . The replies we received when requesting a refund were flippant- ‘ other customers made the tour ‘ , ‘should have contacted us’ etc.
In response, and buyer beware (!) , we google mapped our way to the exact coordinates shown on the ticket- roughly ending up in the middle of the Duomo Square. To cut a long story short , finally we were directed to a coffee shop ‘under the arches’ but , by this time, just too late. We tried the phone number to no avail. The phone just rang off. No customer service at all. Sad really, since this is a Trip Advisor company, we had expected better.
However, we just popped into the Duomo ticket office and purchased two’ skip the line’ tickets( roof top & Duomo) for €42. If we had wanted a guide we could have joined a group for an additional €20.
A couple of learning points from this experience;
1/ companies such as these effectively scalp the tickets. Buying up tickets in bulk, providing a guide and inflate the price by two or three times. This is why , if you don’t book in advance , you’ll find the official sites sold out.
2/ these companies have no physical office. You have to locate a guy with a flag, usually in a very crowded location, in order to exchange your voucher for a ticket & join the tour.
I will say, with another similar company in Rome, they did have a physical office , offered tickets to the Vatican ( at usual inflated prices) & escorted us to the front of line. Here, it was worth paying for since there were absolutely no tickets from the official vendors available even weeks in advance since the scalpers had bought them all up.
At the Duomo, just get them from the official vendors - no need to pay inflated prices , no need to try & meet some random guy in a very crowded area.
Also, to be fair, I understand the quality of the Guides are excellent- hence the reviews, Buyer beware is all I can say.
If Trip Advisor actually publishes this review and takes notice of what I have had to say ( without making an offhanded, flippant response I will be amazed).

Leave your bags at the hotel. Unfortunately my train ran late and I got to the duomo late without time to find a place to store baggage. I ended up not being able to go on the tour, however the people at the check in gave me a suggestion for storage within the general vicinity and I was able to go on the tour on my own.

The tour is "skip-the-line" but what you get is not a ticket but a voucher that you have to exchange to the ticket at the "redemption point" which is a ticket office... Does it mean that we still have to stand in line at the ticket office to exchange tour vouchers for the tickets? If that's the case then it defeats the purpose, the whole point of buying this tour was to skip the lines.

I arrived to the ticket office about 15 minutes before the tour, as recommended, and waited about 10 minutes to receive my ticket. The guide met us there at the ticket office, so I had to go there regardless. The lines that we skipped were the main access door (we entered through a side door) and the entrance to the underground archaeological area (again, different entrance). The main entrance door had at least a 2-hour wait, so it was definitely worth it for me. Plus, my group’s guide was great. Good luck!
