consiglio a tutti una visita guidata come quella che abbiamo fatto noi domenica con un esperto che ci ha fatto calare nella storia dell'antico egitto con semplicità ma con estrema competenza e professionalità. Grazie dr. G. (non ricordo il cognome per intero) parlo di colui che è stato "adottato da Benevento" e con radici avellinesi. I suoi racconti anche di esperienze personali di scavo ci hanno aperto "una porta" e "gli occhi" , ovviamente a sinistra!

avevo visitato il museo circa 10 anni fa ed ero rimasto deluso dallo stato di abbandono imperante, ieri abbiamo visto un altro museo, meno male!

This museum is well worth a day trip from Milan. Easy train ride and really beautiful city to explore. Our guide was top-notch in his knowledge of Egyptian history and culture.

Para todos los que amamos la cultura egipcia es una visita ineludible. Es un museo muy interesante y comodo de visitar. La audio guia incluida en la entrada es francamente buena.

The tour was really disappointing. It was said the lead holds an Egyptologist. I didn't expect that, but someone with a clue.
At first the tour started a good 30 minutes late because a wrong time slot was booked. Then the guide could only explain details about the development of the museum in detail.
With simple bases to the Egyptian history it was already lacking. She couldn't answer most of the simple questions and instead turned away wordlessly and went on.
The negative highlight was the exhibition of the mummies: "Here is a mummy and there is another. It's in a coffin and this one is in two." There I know even more details myself. In addition, several times clearly wrong information was given. I am extremely disappointed. Had hoped to be able to ask me a few questions which have occupied me for a long time. And that with the price. No idea whether it was because the tour was ordered in German language. With the audio tour I would have had more of it. And for that I travelled to Turin.
Die Führung war wirklich enttäuschend. Es hieß die Führung hält ein Ägyptologe. Das habe ich zwar nicht erwartet, aber jemanden mit Ahnung.
Zuerst begann die Führung mit gut 30 Minuten Verspätung da ein falsches Zeitslot gebucht worden ist. Dann konnte der Guide nur Details zur Entstehung des Museums detailliert erklären.
Bei einfachen Grundlagen zur ägyptischen Geschichte haperte es schon. Die meisten einfachen Fragen konnte sie nicht beantworten und drehte sich stattdessen wortlos weg und ging weiter.
Negativer Höhepunkt war die Ausstellung der Mumien: „Hier ist eine Mumie und da noch eine. Die liegt in einem Sarg und die in zwei.“ Da weiss ich ja selber noch mehr Details. Zudem wurden auch mehrmals eindeutig falsche Angaben gemacht. Ich bin maßlos enttäuscht. Hatte mir erhofft ein paar Fragen stellen zu können die mich schon lange beschäftigen. Und das bei dem Preis. Keine Ahnung ob es daran lag das die Tour in deutscher Sprache bestellt wurde. Mit der Audio-Tour hätte ich mehr davon gehabt. Und dafür bin ich extra nach Turin gereist.
