We were in Bassano del Grappa for a visit and in our walk could not miss the Ponte, a meeting place and always crowded where you can taste grappa.

Driver was great and very knowledgeable. pleasant drive over one hour into the mountains. Each stop well spaced to break up the whole day. If you like GRAPPA, then do this tour to visit Poli Distillary in the little town of Barona di Grappa. Charming town and he knew the best places to eat.

At first getting to the meeting point seemed a challenge but the directions were very good. The towns we visited were beautiful and quite a contrast to Venice. We would like to return and spend more time in then. The tour was paced nice and leisurely and the small group we were with got along well. The Palladio villa is worth seeing. We were also fortunate that the carriage museum was open that day. We will take away a great memory of this tour.

Driver/guide Marco made our day out interesting and memorable and we would definitely recommend this tour. With only four guests we had plenty of room in a very comfortable vehicle, and joining instructions were detailed leaving no room for error. The tour is a mix of time to ourselves and guided walking with Marco, towns visited are very pretty and appealing. Grappa tasting was a surprise (who knew there were so many flavours?) and prosecco tasting at the end was a great finish. I loved the frescos in the villa, wish we had been allowed to take photos. Thank you Marco for an excellent day out.

This is the third time that we have taken this tour in 14 years - and - the itinerary is perfect for a day trip out of Venice. When the guide is good (and Marco definitely was!), trust me, you are in for a real treat! Each of these Veneto Hilltop Towns is so unique. Starting with the piazza and castles of the medieval town of Marostica, you then go to Bassano del Grappa with its Palladian Bridge. Depending on your interests you can visit the Alpine Museum of World War I and II; walk around the picturesque town with overlooks of the River Brenta; sample some grappa, visit a ceramic workshop or other local shops, or just have an espresso on a balcony overlooking the stunning river and mountains.We had a fantastic lunch in Asolo (not a group lunch; you are free to go where you choose) with enough time to walk around the popular hilltop resort. We then visited one of the best preserved Palladian Villas - the Villa Barbaro; and last but not least, had a "tasting" visit at a Prosecco winery. The people on the tour were extremely nice (and punctual!). Marco was one of the best guides we've ever had with Avventure Bellissime,...and thanks to him, the full day of scenery, sites and activity was so enjoyable! The City of Venice has so much to see, but if you have the time, I highly recommend this small group day trip to get a sense of the surrounding area.

What an exquisite day! With an early start from Venice Tronchetto, a small group of us (6) made our way to the gentle hills of the Veneto. Marco our driver/guide was much obliging, friendly and informative. The pace was laid back and allowed lots of time to simply stroll though the charming villages of Marostica, discover Bassano de Grappa with its incredible Poli Grappa Museum and its Grappa tasting and Asolo for an al fresco lunch in the Piazza (optional). From there, Marco drove us to the Palladian Villa Barbaro which was quite interesting to visit. Then off to the Prosecco hills where a thunderstorm caught us and gave us spectacular play of lights over the Prosecco vineyards. We stopped at Ca’Salina and had quite a comprehensive degustation of all levels of Prosecco. What a better way to end this day. Returned to Venice around 7pm with lots of great memories! Thoroughly enjoyed this well organized excursion! My review on Viator July 2/18

You cant take away from the beautiful country and the itinerary: wine tasting, history, etc. The problem was the logistics. Our guide-cum-driver, Marco was not very forthcoming with information and pointing out where to look or what we see. He seemed to have been impressed by rich or celebrated owners, though mostly he did not know who lives in the palaces.
When we asked that he slow down to take pictures - he was not very obliging. So we flew by sights.
MY BIGGEST PROBLEM WERE THE FELLOW TRAVELERS. Of the 8 travelers (a good number - you pay for the luxury!), 4 were of one family, and two "princesses" of that family declared they have to sit upfront or they will "throw up all over you". So, the rest of us had to hop between back windows and back seats. It was very annoying. Viator should ascertain if there will be a problem with rotating places, and the group of 4 should have ordered their own tour. It really left a bad taste for all other travelers.

Dear Client,
When exactly did you travel and to which tour precisely are you refering considering we offer several different options? I can offer only a general reply assuming you are refering to the small group hill towns of Veneto tour which operates with an English speaking driver-guide. Marco has been with our company for a few years now and has received praise from several of our tourists. Please note that the tour operates with a driver-guide - this is not equivalent to a tour with a city guide pointing at museums, paintings etc which it seems was what you expected. If you would provide more details I can verify better and provide a more thorough reply.
Regarding your comment about other participants - how is this tour operator's fault? Are you saying we should do a selection of who we accept on tours and who we don't? Our trips are open to everyone - if other people did not know how to behave I assume you should have addressed it with them rather than give a low rating to the supplier since we can't be held responsible for other people's behaviour.

What a great day of sightseeing in these small towns. The guys went to taste Grappa which they said was amazing and the ladies shopped, which was a lot cheaper than Venice. We had the best Gnocchi in Asolo from a small local restaurant, Osteria Al Bacaro Di Zecchin Walter and the Prosecco mountains were beautiful. We sat outside and sampled Prosecco from Ca'Salina vineyard which was awesome. Our tour guide was very entertaining and informative.

What a fantastic value and experience! The meeting point was easy to find. The group only consisted of 6 people. Marco was a fine driver and very informative guide throughout the day. The itinerary was varied and amazing. The stops were not rushed. We able to enjoy each at our pace within the time limit. Marco was quite engaging and attended to our needs as individuals. Marco knew exactly where to go to get the best views. We felt this was a great way to see parts of the mainland while staying in Venice.

Would you be able to pick me up for this tour at Mogliano Veneto? Would there be an extra cost for this?

We were given the time we needed at the Villa. The guide did not push the excursion. There were only six in our group and we, as a group, were timely and conscientious of each other. So given that, we were stayed at Villa as long as we needed. We never felt rushed. Yes, we had our lunch in Asolo. We dined at restaurant that had an outdoor area in the middle of the square. The meal was outstanding. I do not recall the name, however, walk directly past the center fountain, up a small incline, and not very far, you will find a cluster of trees in the square with a small wooden deck in the center. That's the restaurant. Enjoy!
