We arrived a few minutes before 5:30. We asked the water taxis if we were in the right place, they said yes. We asked all the boats that were there if they were on our tour. No one said, yes. We asked tourists on the dock if they were on the tour. No one said yes. I looked at my phone and tried to call the number on my confirmation. The answer machine said closed for the weekend. I asked for refund through TripAdvisor app. Please issue me a complete refund. We were very disappointed.

Dear Client,
Our guide was at the meeting point specified in the tour voucher holding a sign with your name until 6.00pm. We tried and called the number in the booking without receiving any answer. In the voucher . We have an emergency number that is from where we tried an called you but never received any call from you. I checked also our office number but pulling up the call history could not find any phone call from yesterday at the time of your tour. I'm sorry you did not take the tour but we were there with guide and boat and tried several times to get in touch with you.

We were picked up at the Saint Regis and our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable on the palaces and overall region. We covered a lot of water, the Grand Canal and several secondary waterways. We had a very good experience and highly recommend.

Amazing experience! Francesca was knowledgeable and lovely. The boat tour was fabulous. Our children were made to feel very happy throughout and Francesca was happy to take some great Pictures of us all too! Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful conclusion to our trip and the only way to see Venice, is from the water

We booked our tour through Viator. While the ride was nice and the tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, we were left feeling unsatisfied.
The boat was not a luxurious boat as the picture depicted. It was a water taxi and even said so on the window. Even worse there were no speakers in the back. So we did not hear any of the history of the city. There were 6 of us so two went to the bow of the boat to hear her, our guide, talk. The others were in the back trying to lip-read. Inside the boat was hot and the speakers cracked.
For $600 total after taxes and before tipping, I would say this was a huge disappointment. We told our guide and she said she would pass on our frustration and she apologized.
Don’t do this trip.

Our Boat tours are operated with the type of boats used by all operators doing grand canal tours of Venice, as these are the only type of boats used for touring. The boats are taxi type of boats, some are in wood and others are white. In regards to the microphone, I totally agree with you and I've already reported to the boat company the problem encountered. I apologize for the inconvenience and please get in touch with us so that I can offer via viator a partial refund for the issue regarding the problem with the microphone.

We found this tour by searching TripAdvisor for accessible water tours in Venice. When we arrived in Venice we contacted the company directly and was told the tour is not accessible and that no refund was available.

Dear Client,
I perfectly remember what happened. You called our office the day of the tour, advising that one person was on wheelchair and another on crutches. The tour booked was a small group grand canal tour. I personally spoke with you advising that, as specified in the tour conditions, the tour is not accessible for people on wheelchair. I explained that there are only a certain amount of boats with platform for easy access into the boat and that on request and on a private basis, we can organize for such tours at a customized quote. If you had contacted a few days prior to the tour, we would have informed you about this and you could have cancelled and received full refund. In the booking there were not notes specifying of this issue, and therefore when you called just a couple of hours prior to the tour, there was nothing we could do, as we operate small group tours and kept your places on our 8 pax boat. I'm sorry you could not take the tour and I perfectly understand your frustation, but on a last minute basis there was nothing we could do.

Such a fun way to see the canals of Venice. Our guide was great! She was informative and fun! It was the first thing we did in Venice and it was a great way to start our trip.

When I booked online, the system did not accommodate a separate pricing for children. I had two kids 4 and 8 yrs old. Because we were a group of 9,Ilet it go and paid for the kids as adults, though I believeyou should not pay for the infant.

I think it depends on the size of the passengers. I believe there were only six passengers when we were on the tour & it wasn’t crowded but again, I think it depends on the passengers! Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

I’m a photographer - I’d like to know whether it is always possible to take photos - if I don’t get a good seat, will it mean I can’t ? Trying to decide whether this would be better than a gondola for a photographer...

If you are stuck below you will not be able to take photographs, you will be peering out through the long narrow windows that run the length of the cabin.
Best you will be able to do is swop around with people sitting up top but then you will be ‘taking it in turns’
Gondola gives best view but you won’t go very far - especially if it’s busy as the canals get gridlocked.
