We really enjoyed the food walking tour. I don’t think it goes daily so double check the dates. Also the one we took did include quite a bit of seafood so if that’s not your thing or aren’t very adventurous food wise I’d look for a different one. Our guide Barbara was a local Venetian so it was great getting her perspective on Venetian life. I’ve done the doges tour before so didn’t do it this last trip. It’s interesting but we found that the connection to our headsets kept getting lost while wandering through the different area so missed a lot of what the guide said. If you don’t plan to ever return I would recommend it. Best t push through being tired and the tfirst stay up until at least 9pm. You’ll adjust much better and Venice isn’t a hugely hoppy my town at night anyways. Restaurants may be busy but not much nightlife. Very much enjoyed the night tour of the basilica, small groups and you go in after hours so not crowded at all. Be sure no knees or shoulders show when entering and don’t take a backpack as they won’t let you in with it. If you’re going in the summer months it will be hot & very crowded. We always go at shoulder season (spring or fall). Well worth making arrangements for a private water taxi to your hotel. A great way to arrive. Check out Venicelink or Viator. Hope this helps! Enjoy!
