上个星期天，天气情朗，我和一群朋友去玻璃岛玩，无意中发现一家玻璃厂非常漂亮，他们有很多手工制作的玻璃,其中包括吊灯,动物，花瓶，盘子，还有很多很多、、工作人员很热情，很专业，建议你们来Murano,一定要去他们那里。

This is a great tour to Murano and Burano. Our guide Cathy was excellent. She was very informative with a great mix of some personal stories and history. The glass of Prosecco was a lovely bonus

The guide was knowledgeable and fun. Boat ride was pleasant The glass making demonstration was intriguing and the items were beautiful. The lace making was disappointing
However the glass items were very expensive. Not enough time in Burano. We went back later by vaporetto (water bus) and took more time shopping and got better deals.

El guía Raul es muy atento incluso antes de iniciar el tour. Recordándote el lugar y hora. Durante el recorrido te da explicaciones muy interesantes y avisos de lo vaporettos que te dan mucha tranquilidad.

A great way to appreciate how the different islands have different roles.
Despite it being a wet day, the boat trip and the guide were fabulous.
The brief glassblowing demo in Murano was interesting but didn’t appreciate the glass staff hanging over us all the way through the showroom ‘encouraging’ us to buy (20% discount).
Burano was pretty and the community was brought to life by our guide. Would have liked to have seen actual lacemaking but lace shop guy was lovely.
On the way back it was nice to spot some wildlife on the mud flats in the lagoon. We spotted egrets, cormorants and waders.

Alex the tour guide was friendly, funny and offered an in-depth insight into the area and what we could see. Right amount of time in both islands visited.

A thoroughly enjoyable day
The historical presentation on the boat to the islands was very informative and an excellent experience.
Touring the glass factory and watching the amazing glass creators at their work was exceptional and then the tour of the beautiful island of Burano made for a very worthwhile trip

What an amazing, informative , interesting tour. Alexander ( our fab guide) made the tour special as he was so knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.

A great day out to Murano and Burano. The glass blowing was great to watch and Burano is a lovely island. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the boat trip between the islands interesting.

We loved the whole tour, especially Burano; a lovely and atmospheric place to wonder around, and sit and have a canal-side cappuccino. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. The skill of the master glass-blower in the Murano glass factory was truly awesome. Personally, I found the sales staff there to be absolutely fine; I decided to buy a beautiful piece, but I made my decision in my own time, without pressure.

when booking the morning and afternoon of this tours descriptions are different. Is something missing from the morning or afternoon tour that isn't advisable for the other?

As best I can tell you are looking at tours that are provided by two different companies available from the one site (check under additional info). They seem to provide roughly the same itinerary. I went on the "Glass factory Colleoni Murano" run tour which departs and returns from Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pietà. It was excellent value for money, it packed a lot into 5 hours and I would highly recommend it. Best wishes for a great trip.

Are you able to wander around the islands to sightsee or is it completely guided? Did you feel like you were a captive audience for people selling things?

Yes, to a limited extent, but there is a schedule to keep to. On Murano there was the inevitable walk through the showroom of the glass blowing place that had just provided a demonstration of glass blowing, but there wasn’t any overt pressure or expectation to buy. On Burano you pretty much have free reign to explore and visit wherever you wish, with a time to be back to the boat for the return journey to Venice.
