We had an excellent tour of Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica with terrace access. Our guide, Josephine, was amazing—her background as a school teacher really shone through, making the tour both educational and interesting.
The basilica was absolutely stunning, and Josephine’s insights added so much depth to our experience. Thank you for a wonderful experience that brought the rich history and beauty of Venice to life!

We could not participate in the visit because there were two places that the maps directed to the meeting point Allilaguna, the agency did not offer us the tour without a Guide and did not direct us to where the Guide was and of the 600,00 euros I paid offered us visit to museums that corresponded to EUR 160,00 . Terrible experience, not recommend, horrifying service

This tour company is terrible. They cancelled at the last minute, leaving us stranded. They claimed that an institutional event at Doge palace caused the cancellation. There was no institutional event. Even if there was, how long in advance did this company know about it?

During our recent trip, we had an incredible experience exploring the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica, thanks to our amazing guide. Her wealth of knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the historical significance of each stop to life. We delved into the rich history of these iconic landmarks and gained a deeper understanding of their cultural importance. This excursion has definitely secured its place as one of our top five favorite places to visit.

We saw the two must sees on our first day. It was wonderful! Our guide Francesca, whose English was perfect, is an archaeologist - knowledgable, enthusiastic but also with a dry humour which we really enjoyed! She made it fun as well as interesting, and we recommend this trip, and particularly Francesca, with our whole hearts.

Bucintoro viaggi were unfriendly and actually downright dishonest with us. We originally booked this tour and were so excited for it. We showed up the day of 15 minutes early as they suggested to the address provided to the “Alilaguna ticket stand” that was right where our GPS led us. The man at the stand said no, we needed to be south about a 10-15 minute walk so we headed there. The line was so chaotic at the actual place that once we checked in at 2:07, the woman said, “sorry your tour already left, call your guide.”
We did that and it was the curtest most unpleasant phone call. “You were late, sorry. No, sir. You were late. No.” Not even listening or wanting to engage to make the process more clear or offer a reschedule. When I asked for a refund she said, “no sir we don’t even have your money. You have to call GetYourGuide. But I don’t think they will refund you have a nice day.” Wouldn't even let me speak to her manager.
When I spoke with GetYourGuide they confirmed that it needed to be the tour guide company that would refund the money or work with us… but because the tour company also refused to work with them to help us they comped the money to us. It was a bummer to miss out on these amazing pieces of history on our one day in Venice, but I will always use GetYourGuide. Never Bucintoro Viaggi.

The guide spoke almost no English and whatever she did say in her strongly accented English was impossible to understand. Also we were told to be at the meeting place 20 minutes earlier, then had to wait in sweltering heat without any seating available. But the main problem was we feel we could have learned much more about these gorgeous sites with a different guide.

I highly recommend booking a guided tour or you may wait 2-3 hours to get inside. We booked our tour through get your guide, it was a tour that went to St Marks Basilica and Doges Palace. We met at the water taxi stop where we were given a head set to make hearing our guide easier. Our tour guide Stephan was very knowledgeable he gave us some history on venice which was very interesting. We got right into the basilica and got to skip the line, the inside is beautiful and we got to go up on the terrace as well, there are a good amount of steps with some being steep and uneven since it is an old building. A must stop but to save time you need to go with a tour. We then went to the Doge’s Palace. This place is beautiful and has so much history we had a great guided tour of the inside rooms and I highly recommend stopping here while in venice. Total Tour time was approx 3 hours. This tour does not include access to the bell tower climb

Guys the basilique is cool, but Is the first time when I see how bussines church works.
Entrance 3€, u get in and make like 30 steps after that if u wanna see a Pala d’oro u need to pay 5€ and after that if u wanna go upstairs to the terrace u need to pay 7€. I didnt like that when the church become a businness.
