Directly from the bus pick-up, the ‘tour’ started. He told me all about the region and its history while driving to the vineyard. The atmosphere was very welcoming and it really showed that everyone at the vineyard is passionate. The history of the area but most of all the company itself was fascinating. The tasting was great and the wines were amazing. Even though it was rainy and cloudy, the views were breathtaking. I really recommend to go!

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The owners are so nice and could not be more helpful and friendly. We paid a bit extra for some pasta, bread and dessert. The food was delicious and the olive oil was amazing and a learning experience how they differ.

Unser Guide war super sympathisch und informativ während der Führung.
Neben den 4 Olivenölen wurde noch 3 Weine sowie Käse und Salami zur Probe gereicht.
Ein wirkliches Olivenöl-Tasting war es nicht, da diese nur ausgeschenkt wurden und der Guide dann nur alle 20 min vorbei schaute. Die Aussicht und das Weingut sind allerdings wunderschön.

We really enjoyed this tour as we saw an old olive tree and a grove of new ones. Even got to taste an olive right off the tree. We also saw how they processed the olives and storied the oil along with being educated on producing olive oil. Then we sat down and sampled 4 different olive oils from around Italy. You can definitely taste the difference. We also tasted 3 different wines from this winery. Our guide was great in educating us about the region too. Everyone at Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde were so nice to us and all theirs clients.

De locatie was een supermooie omgeving met zowel oude als jonge olijf- en druivenbomen. De gids was erg vriendelijk en gaf ons voor de proeverij een toer. Maar de proeverij zelf was toch wel het hoogtepunt: met een uitzicht vanaf de heuvel konden we vier heerlijke olijfolies proeven. Hierbij kregen we brood, locale kaas en salami, water uit een natuurlijke bron/fontein en zelfs wijn van de druifgaard. Het was dubbel en dwars ons geld waard. Om de locale business te supporten kochten we achteraf ook een fles wijn en olijfolie. Ps. Er is ook een wijn- en truffeltoer voor de liefhebbers.

The absolute highlight of our holiday!
You know something is good when want to leave a five star review whilst you are there.
This was exactly that. We did the olive oil tour and - wow - what a wonderful experience.
The travel was simpler than expected (we were staying in the centre of Verona), just a bus ride away (€2.80 each way).
The tour was relaxed and informative - our guide was brilliant!! Thank you!
We then concluded with the most wonderful tasting of olive oils with bread, wines, meats, cheeses and pate.
The setting is sensational and encapsulates the romance of Italy.
I could not recommend this more highly to anyone looking for a tour/experience in the area.

This was such a great experience! The views are spectacular and Anna was a wonderful host. She told us so many amazing facts and stories about olive oil. The olive oil tasting was incredible!! You can’t beat that taste! Do not miss this experience! It’s a stunning place. Even on a hot day, it had a wonderful breeze. We loved it!

We had a wonderful morning through to lunch at this beautiful vineyard. The family were so hospitable and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We tried different olive oils with super fresh bread after a lovely tour round. And then tried some delicious wines, salami and cheese as well. We weren’t rushed and there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything but you can buy the wine and olive oil they make here should you desire. In our opinion the wine and Olive oil was the best quality you’ll sample anywhere. Our tour guide was such a lovely man. We could not fault the experience. We also had a lovely chat with an American couple that we shared the tour with aswell. We would really recommend this experience.

Wir haben zunächst eine kurze Führung durch die Weinberge und die Olivenbäume erhalten. Anschließen gab es eine tolle Verkostung von 4 Olivenölen und 3 Rotweinen mit Brot, Käse und Salami. Alles wirklich lecker. Das Unternehmen setzt zudem auf eine natürliche Produktion. Hier gibt es wirklich besondere Produkte und keine Massenabfertigung. Ein tolles Erlebnis 😊

Hi, I see that transportation from Verona is not available, but there is public transport. Can you please tell a bit more? It is just that me and my friend are arriving by train on the day we can have the tour, and we need to see if we will actually be able to get to the winery by time.
