The trip was nice, but there was one major problem. The employee should have notified our hotel so that we could board, but this was not done. If it had been done, the hotel staff could have told them that the weather was not suitable for boarding. As a result, they dropped us off at a place other than our hotel and we had to pay a taxi (less than 10 minutes) for 30€. We were quite surprised to learn that we had to pay for the taxi, even though the fault lay with the employee. Especially since it had been indicated that the agency would take care of the trip. Of course, we were warned that we had to pay the taxi when it dropped us off, not before we got in.
What's more, we wanted to go snorkelling (we contacted the agency) but no equipment was made available to us...
What could have been a wonderful experience was more like a tourist trap.

Super ervaring! Sympathieke gastheer en een heel fijne sfeer. De tour was mooi en uitgebreid. Zeker een aanrader! Je krijgt ook de kans om te gaan zwemmen in het heldere water en er worden je meerdere drankjes aangeboden. Alles wat je maar nodig hebt.

Antonio was such a fun time. He provided prosecco, food, and was very patient with us. He let us steer the boat! We liked him so much that we went back the second day for an additional outing! Grazie mille Antonio (e Martina!), ti amiamo!

Boat operator was very curt - didn’t introduce himself, did not offer life vests when we got on the boat, even for the children. They did not provide snorkeling, despite it being advertised as a snorkeling trip. He didn’t help anyone on or off the boat to go swimming and turned the engines on before we could get back on there boat safely. When we said we couldn’t hear his narration, he just used the excuse that it was the engine noise and didn’t try to find a way to explain anything so we could hear. The views were stunning and glad we went on a boat off the coast - but this specific tour and driver were disappointing.

Very nice new boat with a young captain. Sad we had cloudy weather. Nice cruise. They need to work on reading the passengers. Bypassing the edgy music. A full glass of Prosecco would have been nice.

My partner and I enjoyed this boat tour during a recent trip to Sicily. The captain was on time and pleasant. We did not have any snacks on board but were offered some drinks and swam in the sea. Would recommend for a nice tour of the beautiful Taormina sea!

The description is not what we experienced. The boat was 30 minutes late (due to a situation with a previous guest, we were told). I don't know what "sea tablecloths" are. There were 3 of us in our group. It was a motorboat experience. We were only out for an hour. By the time we were offered anything to eat or drink, we were apparently only 15 minutes away from the dock we were returning to. So enough time for one drink for each of us. The description makes the experience sound much more than what we had. We didn't plan to swim or snorkel, but that's not the fault of the booker. But they could have still boated around during the time that would normally be spent on the snorkeling. The boat only went into one of the grottoes, as it was too big, and we heard the captain arguing with the captain of another boat about who had more insurance (he didn't realize we understood some Italian). It seemed unprofessional. We had taken a similar boat tour the day before in Siracusa, but it was $30 cheaper. On that tour we had gotten to go into three grottoes, and snorkeling and swimming was also offered. If you're thinking you're paying extra for some kind of nice dining experience, look elsewhere.

Dear Sharon, Antony and Dave, I reply to your review. It is true that on September 3, 2022, the customer who preceded you caused an emergency that caused your departure to be postponed by about 30 minutes ... and of which you have been warned, but it is not true that you have only one hour excursion. When there is a delay, the skipper abundantly makes up for lost time at the beginning of the excursion. The "sea tablecloths", a typical Sicilian expression, are beach towels, to dry off after having bathed in the sea or shower ... you just had to ask.
You said that the skipper only entered one cave because the boat was too big to enter the other caves. This statement of yours is incorrect. It is strictly forbidden to enter the blue grotto and the lovers' grotto ... all boats approach and overlook the caves. The violation of this imposition by the local authorities costs a fine of € 1700 !!! The cave where your skipper entered is the Coral cave, which is really too small for our boat, but the skipper Nicholas with an expert maneuver, turns the boat and enters the cave with the stern of the boat.
If you wanted to swim and snorkel on board, there were life jackets and snorkel gear at your disposal.
You said that the skipper nicholas had an unsuitable conversation with the captain of another boat talking about "insurance". I state that the skipper Nicholas knows nothing of this subject, knowledge reserved to the owner of the nautical company and to the administration office. And then, I think it is unlikely that your poor Italian (as you say) was able to understand the topic of conversation expressed in the difficult Sicilian language, spoken quickly and with strict pronunciation. As for the price of the excursion, the Voyage Tour Taormina does not have the monopoly of the classic tour. In the area there are dozens of companies that operate the same or similar service, with different prices. everyone is free to choose the service that best suits their needs and possibilities. If you have chosen the services of the voyage tour, surely the price suited you. For a tour with a private boat, I don't think the voyage tour imposes an exorbitant price. You talked about a culinary experience! the voyage tour has never offered or promised a "rewarding dining experience" ... but simply an aperitif on board with prosecco, soft drinks and snacks. Ours is an open boat, without a kitchen and dining area, but only has space to serve an aperitif. Well ... they seem to me the usual few ideas, but confused!

My boyfriend and I were so pleased with our boat trip. It was easy to organise. The captain emailed me after I booked and we decided a time. He was prompt and the pickup area was really easy to get to for us.
The boat is beautiful and has great spots to lie out and tan or sit at the front. It felt really luxurious, especially with the boat all to ourselves. There were other boats crammed with people which did not look very comfortable.
Our captain was really friendly and explained lots of what we saw. We stopped to have a swim, glasses of Prosecco, some little biscuits and he had snorkelling gear too. It was a lovely two hour trip.
We really recommend this boat trip for anyone who wants to be in a beautiful boat with just their partners/families.

Très belle balade. Ca vaut le coup. Nous avons été pris à Taormine sur la plage, puis deux heures de promenade avec baignade.

Excursion de 2 heures.
Ballade le long de la côte d'environ 50 minutes puis le skipper nous demande si nous voulons nous baigner, nous répondons par l'affirmative. Il nous ramène au large de l'endroit où nous avons embarqué. Là, après la baignade,nous lui faisons remarquer que nous avons réservé pour 2 heures alors que lui pense pour 1 heure seulement...
Nous lui disons, vu qu'il reste du temps, que nous aimerions aller un peu au large afin d'avoir une vue d'ensemble de la côte. Il refuse cela n'est pas prévu dans le tour.
Nous sommes déçus car durant 50 minutes, nous n'avons rien fait...
Une heure aurait largement suffit pour voir les grottes.

Mesdames et Messieurs,
Je suis vraiment désolé pour votre déception avec l'excursion Classic Tour.
Nous proposons 2 types de circuits classiques. Une heure et vingt minutes qui comprend une visite de la côte et de ses beautés naturelles et une agréable baignade dans la mer.
Nous proposons également une visite classique de 2 heures, pour ceux qui souhaitent vivre une expérience marine plus complète.
Ce circuit comprend toujours une visite de la côte et une baignade dans la mer en deux points, où l'eau est claire et vous pouvez vous amuser dans la mer en toute sécurité.
Ces points sont Isola Bella et Villagonia.
Et puis bain de soleil, jusqu'à la fin de la mini-croisière.
Concernant le refus de quitter la côte, le skipper a certainement mal compris. Pour avoir une large vue sur la côte il suffit de se déplacer non loin de la côte, 800 mètres suffisent. Cela peut certainement être fait. Peut-être que le skipper était réticent à cause de la "longue vague" qui se formait et a préféré rester près de la côte.
Nous essayons toujours de faire notre travail de la meilleure façon possible et de faire plaisir à nos clients en leur offrant une belle expérience. Nous sommes tous très attristés par les malentendus et votre mécontentement.
Lorsque vous reviendrez, ce sera un plaisir pour nous de vous avoir avec nous comme nos clients les plus bienvenus.
