This was exactly what we were looking for! An opportunity to learn some local Sicilian recipes and to share a meal with a local family. This really shouldn't be missed. Damiano and his brother-in-law, Lorenzo, were fantastic hosts.
We weren't sure what to expect. Would it be uncomfortable? Would we have anything to talk about? Rest assured, Damiano has a wonderful home (I won't say where for privacy reasons) and welcomed us like we were family.
From teaching us how to make an antipasto with sardines to the four course meal and the opportunity to learn about them and their family, it really was the perfect evening. Oh, and the food was delicious! If he has availability, don't miss this opportunity!
