Tour guide Alex was fun and knowledgeable, it was a nice small group. Alex was well prepared with helmets, walking sticks and ponchos! The winery was great fun, immediately welcomed with glass of wine and topped up before wine tasting started. Maybe if any improvement is to email to give guidance on clothing prior to trip, we were ok as we had read the reviews but our group didn’t come with jumpers/jackets but Alex had some back up for that too.

Wow, wow, wow. Absolutely wonderful tour! Worth every penny. Our guide Victorio, was fabulous. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, driven up to Mt Etna with informative commentary on our way up. The hike of Mt Etna was educational and beautiful. Our winery stop was exceptional. Lunch, along with the explanation of each wine we tasted could not have been better. Exceptional service all around.

This was a full day with many different experiences and very much worth the cost.
The food and wine,following the track (not too difficult) and cave ,are very good value.
Our tour guide,Alex,was brilliant and very informative.

A very nice tour with a good guideOur tour to Etna volcano and wine tasting was a fantastic experience! The views of the active volcano were breathtaking and the hike was both adventurous and educational. After the volcano we visited a local vineyard where we enjoyed delicious Sicilian wines. Our Guide was excellent; he shared fascinating stories and interesting facts about the volcano. His enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour extra special. In short, it was an unforgettable day full of nature, culture and tasteful wines! 🍷🌋

Loved this tour and Alex was an exceptional guide, great fun, very knowledgeable and passionate about volcanoes. After visiting Etna and a cave we went on to the winery for a very relaxed meal, where we tasted various wines these were topped up frequently - we were never short of a glass throught the time we were their and had a very leisurely lunch. Thoroughly recommend.

There were a few different options for wine tasting tours in and around Taormina but we’re so glad we opted for this one. Alex, our guide, picked us up from our accommodation and he was friendly and fun from the start and made for an excellent host throughout the day. The tour of Etna was very interesting and the wine tasting was a particular hit. We made some great friends along the way and it was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday.

I’m so glad I booked this tour. It was brilliant. Alexandria the guide is wonderful. He’s totally passionate about volcanoes, so knowledgeable, really entertaining and also really looked after the group from a safety perspective. Pick up from your hotel then drive to Etna while Alex chats about Etna. I was in a small group of 3 couples and myself and we really hit it off which made it so much fun. TOP TIP: take a jumper or coat and wear longer trousers. It was quite chilly! And definitely trainers- no sandals!! We stopped off at a kind of ski chalet in the forest for a toilet break and a coffee and then we headed on up to the lateral craters. Alex had spare hoodies and rain ponchos for those of us who were cold! Hiking sticks were provided and we walked the craters. There are lots of stops to rest and talk so it’s not too strenuous but you are on a volcano so expect to watch your footing. Then we drove on and visited a cave made by a lava flow -helmets provided. Then off to the winery. This was amazing. Beautiful views, expert talks, a guide who talked us through the wines as we ate (beautiful food and fabulous wines!).

We had a fantastic time. Tour guides were really friendly, knowledgeable and great fun. I hadn’t brought any suitable shoes with me, which wasn’t a problem as they had some that I could borrow that fit well. The wine tasting was amazing, beautiful wine and lovely lunch to accompany. Would highly recommend.

This was a wonderful outing with Alex on the volcano. Alex was very knowledgeable and a fun guide. The wine tasting lunch at Gambino was also lovely setting and good food.
