My wife and I spent a day in Taormina and Castelmola with Discover Messina Sicily while on a trip through a number of Mediterranean locations. Among the 6 or 7 tour groups we used in our trip, Discover Messina Sicily was by far the best. Our guide, Sara, was very knowledgeable, easy to spend a day with, and very kind and helpful. She and our driver suggested extra stops beyond our initial itinerary when it became clear time would allow. Best of all, it was clear that Sara loves her town and island. As she provided history, mythology, and other information about the region, we couldn’t help but love the place, too. Five stars and some! Thank you for a memorable day, Discover Messina Sicily!

This was a fantastic tour. The guides were amazing and so kind. We had such a small group that they added extra stops to see a few off the beaten path sites. We learned so much, saw amazing things and we are so grateful to the guides.

Our guides name was Maria. My daughter and I enjoyed Maria very much. She was punctual, kind and full of information. If I ever go back to that area, I would hire her as a private guide and do some hiking with her.

This was an amazing trip. I loved every single moment of it . Our guide Sara was one of the best tour guides I have ever met . She shared so much info with us and kept us focussed throughout the tour . Everything went smoothly, . I will definitely use this company next time I’m in Sicily.

Sara was excellent, informative and fun. In general, we had a great time with this tour. Would recommend. No trouble with pickup at pier and back to boat within good timing.

Our tour guide Sara did an amazing job and was very knowledgeable and flexible with our itinerary. Giacomo, the CEO President, was our driver that day. I'm extremely impressed that he would drive us. They picked us up in a very clean and nice Mercedes van and were very punctual. They didn't hurry us but were also sure to get us back on time as we were on a cruise. It was a great day, and I highly recommend them if you're in Sicily.

Beautiful Taormina and Castlemola.
Our guide Gabriella was fantastic, energetic and accommodating.
Tours had lots of free time to explore Taormina. It was a national military holiday so the museum entrances were free. Bonus.

What a wonderful, comprehensive day! Being on a cruise ship, our time visiting the area is limited. I'm so glad I booked this tour! Our guide was Sara whose love of the history and everything about the area shined through! First we toured the small medieval town of Castelmola way up on a mountain which was very quaint with wonderful views. Then we headed down the mountain to Taormina which is amazing with history and shops all leading to the ancient Greek Roman Theater which is a must see! It was convenient to have the tour with an ear piece to hear Sara so you didn't have to be really close to hear what she was talking about. After our tour of the theater, we had free time to shop and roam on our own before heading back. On our way back to the ship, we stopped in the city center of Messina to see the beautiful clock tower.

A worthwhile tour to hear about the history & culture and to view the area from select viewpoints. Our guide was a lifelong resident who was as very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and was easily understood. You’ll learn far more taking this stress free trip than trying to see the area on your own.

Sara was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable and added a couple of photo stops on request! This company makes SURE to get cruise atop customers back on time without worry! Wish I had known to book directly through DISCOVER MESSINA SICILY rather than Viator (will safe you some money)🤩
