We have this private tour on our list since more than 6 years and this is the first time we receive a review like yours....frankly we were all absolutely appalled. The tour last 8 hours and this time frame has always been enough for discover the highlights of this beautiful part of Tuscany. So if your tour started at 8am, the end was scheduled at 4pm (at your hotel). Is perfectly normal. The driver informed also that he had another service starting at 4.45pm so it was important to respect the schedules of each stop.... Unfortunately during the day you had some issues that delayed your trip: the departure from hotel started later, on the road your son threw up so the driver had to stop the car and clean everything for you...it was not easy. And without receiving any compensation! (that's was very sad). Of course these inconvenience has caused a delay on the timetable and not because of our fault or incompetence. This is the only reason why your stops in Pienza and Montepulciano were shorter than usual. Regarding the winery in Montepulcano: is a traditional and historical family winery since the 16th century known for the quality of their wines...In this tour is included only the wine tasting with no food but the owner of this winery wanted to offer you a snack of their cheese & salami together with the wine tasting. I frankly don't understand your sarcastic claim "...along with a few slices of ordinary salami and cheese...". It was COMPLIMENTARY, maybe you should have been more grateful.
