Outstanding tour! Laila is so pleasant, personable and entertaining. We learned a lot about the city’s history, culture and food. Could not have spent a better half day on any tour. I recommend very, very highly.

Fascinating Tour
We had such a wonderful tour in Livorno. Our Mediterranean cruise stopped in Livorno. At the end of our cruise we went to Florence for a four night stay so the four of us chose to find something in Livorno and we’re so thankful that we did. Rick Steves had mentioned in one of his shows that when traveling a food and walking tour can be the best tour to take as you are able to immerse yourself into the culture more. Our guide Leila was such a beautiful and knowledgeable lady. It was sad to say goodbye at the end of our tour. She gave us such good information and took us to many places in Livorno. The food stops were so good. If you’re considering this tour, you won’t be disappointed.

Cancelled the tour at the last minute
We were very disappointed when it was cancelled the day before without any explanation and too late to make other plans. It was our only activity for the day off the ship.

Terrific Experience!

Wow! What a great way to explore Livorno. Laila was so warm and fun to spend time with. Not only did she explain the history of Livorno, but she introduced us to tastes of the city that we might not otherwise have discovered on our own. Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour
What a great tour. We booked this tour and we’re surprised that it was just 2 of us on the tour which we enjoyed, plenty of good conversation with the guide. She was knowledgeable of the area and showed us parts of the city we would never known about. The food she provided was fantastic, these were foods and drinks that were unique to this area. If you want a more personal tour of Livorno this is your tour.

A Surprising-Unforgettable Treat
Our morning with Laila is still the highlight of our entire week in Italy - don’t miss out!
We met in a bright square after easily finding parking. We learned about the unique history of Livorno as well as what life in Livorno is like today, all while eating great quality and unique foods that are so integral to that history and culture. We took this tour in March 2019 - rather early in the season, so my husband and I got to do the tour on our own and I loved the interactive way we learned about Livorno past and present from Laila’s eyes. All the while, she encouraged us to share how our lives are similar and different.
By far, Laila was the best part of the tour - she is engaging, kind and fun. She loves this city and all of the shop owners adore her - she clearly respects their creations and hard work.
With full stomachs and hearts we left reluctantly after lingering at the edge of the Ligurian Sea. Livorno and Laila - surprising, unassuming Tuscan gems.
