Our tour guide, Valerie as thorough, charming and very knowledgable.
Also a very good and experienced driver
The who;e trip was a delight
It's a long day but a fascinating trip
San Gimignano is absolutely classical Tuscany, in a beautiful setting
Siena sights and history also fascinating and of course the famous Piazza, amazing Cathedral etc

My family and I have been doing tours with Tania and her team from Come & See Italy for more than 10 years and each one has been amazing! On our most recent trip Tania tailored this tour to just Siena and a wine tasking to accommodate my step-father who can't get around as much as he used to. Valeria was our guide and gave my nephew and I a wonderful tour of Siena including San Martino while my folks relaxed over a snack overlooking Il Campo. Valeria's knowledge of Siena's sights and history, including the palio, is impressive. From there we had a wonderful wine tasting with salami, cheese, bread and olive oil at the Palagetto Winery overlooking San Gimignano. I can't recommend their tours enough!

Fabulous day tour....well worth doing. Tania was an excellent guide giving us information but also plenty of free time. We were expecting a coach or mini bus but were picked up in an air conditioned people carrier with just 6 other people. Beautiful San Gimignano and Sienna shouldn't be missed and because we were relying on public transport to see around Lucca this was the best way to visit these places. Booking was easy through the website. Definitely would recommend this day trip. Long but lovely!

We were picked up very promptly by our driver Bagio who was very polite, informative and attentive throughout. He came across us in San Gimignano and took us to the most fantastic viewpoint. The vehicle was very clean, comfortable and wonderfully air conditioned. We had more than enough time in San Gimignano before the wine tasting in a local vineyard, lovely wine and bruschetta and cheese. Siena is brilliant and we had time to ourselves after the tour. Bagio picked us up very promptly for our drive home nad he dropped us near to our apartment in Lucca.

We were picked up on time by Valeria in Lucca and proceeded to pick more passengers in another larger town. We were transported in a very comfortable small group van. Valeria is an excellent guide and driver and speaks excellent English. The pace was unhurried. We had sufficient free time in both Siena and San Geminiano on our own after a guided tour in Siena. Then off to a wine tasting in an attractive setting together with delicious cheese and salami. I can recommend both this tour and Valeria as a guide.

We decided to go on this trip because we were staying in Montecatini and hadn't hired a car, so thought it would be a good option. Although we were by far the youngest there (being in our 20s!) It was a great way to see Siena and San Gimignano. The guide, Elena, was wonderful, made everyone feel welcome, and kept the day to its timings very well, without us feeling rushed. We met some really lovely people and learned a lot, not just about the cities themselves but also places on the way. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
