My wife, Lynn, and I had been in Lucca for a couple of weeks and had done some exploring of the sites on our own. So, when two friends of ours decided to come to Lucca for a few days to visit us, I arranged this tour for the four of us. We were all so glad we did. The tour was absolutely amazing. Marika, our tour guide, was great. She is very knowledgeable about Lucca and imparted this information in an interesting and fun format. We all learned a lot about Lucca, its many churches, and its fascinating history. We were able to see a lot more of the city than if we were on a walking tour. I highly recommend Marika’s horse drawn carriage tour when visiting Lucca.

This tour is a must! Monica is so kind and Luigi is a wonderful horse! Our family of 5 loved it! Monica was a great guide and told us about everything we passed as well as answered any of our questions. She is so friendly and by the end of the tour she felt like a friend. Luigi is amazing!! He listens to all of Monica’s voice commands and is clearly well loved by all the people in Lucca- it was like being with a celebrity everywhere we went with him lol! This tour is an absolute must for an introduction to Lucca. We loved this town so much and will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful tour through the city of Lucca. Our tour guide is a local business owner and she takes much pride in her work and great care of her horses. She was very informative of Lucca and we enjoyed Luigi (the horse). Luigi stops along the way to get treats from local businesses, he knows exactly where to stop! After touring the city center we then went up to the city walls which has beautiful views of the city and the country. I highly recommend this tour!

We decided to take the tour as a starting point to provide an overview of history, places etc, prior to exploring the city further on foot. Marika is a fantastic tour guide, speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable. Her horse Gigi was a delight and very well known to the locals!
We had a great time and highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Lucca.

We bought this tour from Viator, my first time using the company. The operator/driver was great at contacting us to make final arrangements especially as the weather was changeable. The tour was excellent, informative and relaxing and the horse was just lovely. We were picked up at our hotel in the center of Lucca and delivered back after a very relaxing and enjoyable time.
