Maura brings Assisi alive. We loved our time with Maura in Assisi. She is an excellent guide who personally knows the history of Assisi. I can not say enough nice things about this experience.

So glad to have toured Assisi with Maura as our guide. Maura is full of enthusiasm, knowledge, and relevant stories that deepened our understanding and provided context which we would not otherwise have experienced. Five stars, well deserved.

Maura was an absolute delight. She related well with our kids (and our dogs!), had excellent knowledge, and was flexible and fun. When we come back to Umbria she’s the first one we will call.

Our family had an amazing private tour with Maura. She came highly recommended by a friend and she far exceeded our expectations. Maura was incredibly knowledgable and full of energy. She easily connected with our children and made the villages come to life with her retelling of their history. I would highly recommend Maura for a tour and we will certainly hire her again for our next adventure to Italy.

Maura brings you "in" and keeps you there. She is everything you want in a guide.
Her presentation is interesting and she is articulate about historical facts and presents them in such away that you want to listen and learn. Plus she is a lovely human being. You want Umbria to come to life, then choose her. Maura could give you a tour of your own backyard and make it great!

My wife and I had the pleasure to have Maura as our guide in Assisi. The tour of Assisi was included in a 5 day food and wine tour of the Umbria region. Maura guided us through the city and gave us an insider tour of the Basilica of St. Francis. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about this city and its' history. We highly recommend Maura if you want a rich experience when you visit Assisi.

As the owner of an American Travel Company specializing in custom trips to Italy, choosing an Excellent Guide is a something that is very important for my business. Maura and I begin working together this past year, and I am so very happy that I found her! I have sent clients to her with varied interests and backgrounds, and they have all been incredibly happy, often contacting me immediately, thanking me for the wonderful experience. Not only is Maura extremely well informed, but she has that gift of reading her "audience" and presenting the information is a way that is interesting for that particular client. Most importantly, she is kind, friendly and extremely accommodating, and my clients feel extremely well taken care in every well. I recommend Maura without reservation!

I own a travel agency in NY specializing in small group travel to Italy. Having personally worked with Maura for 15 years, I cannot sing her praises enough. This year, Maura hosted 5 of my small groups visiting Assisi.
Maura is the perfect, quintessential guide. Her knowledge is impeccable, and her personality sparkles. Possessing both of those gifts is not commonly discovered, and that is why I love working with Maura.
Maura is passionate about her region, and her love of Saint Francis in particular shines in her narration. She is fun, informative, very pleasant to be around, and possesses a delightful sense of humor. She strikes a perfect balance between sharing her gifts, and allowing guests quality time to soak it all in.
I highly recommend Maura’s services. She is the difference between “seeing” a place, and “experiencing” its treasures.

Maura is a superb guide. Very very knowledgeable, able to bring the cities of Umbria to life. She looks after all out tour groups and they ask again for her every year. Maura is first class, caring and helpful and we could not ask for more. Thank you Maura.

We traveled with a group of people, all academics, professors, intellectuals, for a trip to Umbria: Assisi, Spollo, Spoleto, Perugia and other places.
Maura was our guide for several days.
I can say she made our trip from an ordinary trip to an excellent trip!!! Unusual one !!!
She is an excellent guide, intelligent, fully in control of the historical, artistic, geographical materials and everything a tourist could ask for. Her English is super good - and above all she is a nice, friendly, thoughtful and interesting person.
I (we) fully recommend her!
At the end of the tour we always conduct a questionnaire - she (of course!) received a score of 10 out of 10
