I couldn’t rate it 6, or I would have. Maura was FANTASTIC! I’ve studied the Catholic Church for years and she was so very engaging and knowledgeable. She knew the local history and church history like the back of her hand, and shared it in a way that will leave a lasting impression. She was very personable, and related well to everyone in our party. If you’re looking for a tour guide while you’re in Assisi, I promise you won’t regret choosing Maura.

Maura is a wonderful person, she made us discover Assisi with great sweetness. We visited hidden areas of the city accompanied by fascinating stories and rich in history. We appreciated his “slowness” in telling and walking through the alleys of Assisi. Highly recommended!!!

Maura's stories have enchanted children and adults, giving life to the places and works of art of Assisi and Perugia. A fantastic Guide, who manages to communicate the love for his wonderful Umbria.

We were in Italy for three weeks (visiting Rome, Umbria and Amalfi Coast) and took quite a few tours. We have to say that Maura (our tour guide for Assisi) was by far the best tour guide we had. She is incredibly knowledgeable, interesting and engaging. We learned so much from her, particularly at Basilica of San Francesco. She is very personable and has a great sense of humor. Spending a morning with her in Assisi was delightful. We highly recommend enhancing your Umbria and Assisi experience with a tour by Maura. Next time we visit Umbria, we will book a tour with her to see Perugia.

We booked a last minute side trip to Assisi between Florence and Rome stays. Maura had great reviews so we called her and she impromptu tailored a perfect itinerary and arranged for an excellent driver Andrea. He picked us up 2 days later in Florence and drove us to Assisi and stayed with us and our luggage during a 4 hour tour after which he delivered us to Rome. Maura was an energetic and very knowledgeable guide and we had a great day learning about Assisi, St Francis and St Clare. We highly recommend Maura and Andrea.

My husband and I have been on a lot of private tours with excellent guides. However, Maura was a cut above them all! She shared her impressive knowledge of Assisi, Civita di Bagnoregio, and Orvieto making the tour fascinating, fun, and transformative! She added suggestions for the best places to eat along with fun cultural information. We had the best time and highly recommend her. She made our stay in the region really special and meaningful and plan on using her for future visits. Maura went above and beyond what you would expect. You won't be disappointed!

Maura is an awesome tour guide. We saw Assisi, perugia, Spello and the surrounding countryside. Plus a modern winery. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Thoughtful and wants to know how things are going. Highly recommend Maura.

Maura was a delightful tour guide with much knowledge about Assisi’s past and it’s present.
Her English was excellent and much appreciated.
We spent three hours starting at the top of Assisi and worked our way down through the lovely neighborhood with very quaint homes.
Maura brought us to a family owned ceramic store that is three generations old and my husband and I bought some pieces as a gift to ourselves and a birthday gift to me.
Maura also brought us some chocolate candies to share to celebrate my birthday. That was a personal touch much appreciated!
We felt Maura was the most engaging tour guide of our entire trip!

We spent a full day with Maura as she guided our family group around Assisi. We were a group of 8, ranging from 24 to 80! She did a wonderful job working with us, telling us all about what we were seeing and answering questions. Many of us in the group are very experienced travelers, and all of us were so impressed by Maura. Members of our group kept saying to me, “Where did you find her? She’s just perfect.” So, bottom line, I highly recommend Maura. She even booked us for the most amazing lunch. I can’t say enough positive things about Maura. She’s extraordinary.
