We have around 80 guides working for us throughout the year and a couple of new ones joining each year. On the tours, our guides have the task to tell interesting facts along the journey, to provide all necessary information about itinerary and meeting points, to organize and handle the distribution of tickets and to keep up the quality of the tour. With larger groups and with guests from different cultural backgrounds being a tour leader can be a challenging task. However, all our guides get familiarized with their tasks and are trained to always keep a cool head in stressful situations from the very beginning of our guide training. It would have been important for us to know the date of your tour to discuss your feedback directly with your guide. We are very much surprised to hear of such indecent behaviour and are sorry that you felt disrespected and turned away by your guide. We would like to apologize for his/her inappropriate attitude in his/her place and would like to emphasize that we do neither welcome nor tolerate such behaviour. Many of our guides are native speakers of English and/or Spanish and have strong conversational skills in the other language, which is generally highly appreciated by our international guests. While our guides are usually praised for their enthusiasm and their in-depth knowledge of Switzerland, we are sorry to hear that your experience was hindered by a language barrier. We have indeed gone through some hot summer days, where temperatures rose above 30 degrees Celsius. As we conduct all tours in modern travel coaches, we of course always aim to keep the busses air-conditioned and cool. Despite of all our efforts, there are however days where even technology might have a black-out or where it takes longer until a fully booked coach is cooled down. We are sorry that you felt uncomfortable but are glad to hear that you appreciated the different stops in between, where you got to see more of Zürich. The tour is conducted in two languages, English and German, which further limits the amount of information provided. We also offer the city tours as private services or can organise customised walking tours in Zürich, which would give you the chance to cater your tour to your personal preferences, which might be something to consider for a next visit. Guten Tag Rose Herzlichen Dank für Ihr Feedback zu unserer Stadtrundfahrt "Zürich with Cruise & Chocolate". Wir bedauern, dass Ihnen die Tour nicht zugesagt hat. Ich bin mit Ihnen einverstanden, dass die Informationen vom Reiseleiter spannend sein sollen und selbstverständlich auch auf der Schifffahrt der Reiseleiter mit dem Gästen sich unterhält. Leider weiss ich aufgrund des Feedback nichts (kein Datum, kein Name) mit wem Sie genau auf der Tour waren damit wir mit dem Reiseleiter die Situation im Detail analysieren könnten. Betreffend dem Besuch von Lindt & Sprüngli beschreiben wir in unserer Tour sehr deutlich, dass es sich "nur" um den Besuch des Ladens handelt. Die Fabrik selber darf leider nicht besucht werden. Wir berechnen dafür auch nichts. Der Tourpreis von CHF 58.- pro Person für die gut 5-stündige Rundfahrt setzt sich zusammen aus der klassischen Stadtrundfahrt, der Schifffahrt sowie der Reiseleitung und dem Bus für den Transfer retour zum Sihlquai. Guten Tag Herzlichen Dank für Ihre Feedback. Es tut uns sehr leid zu hören, dass Ihnen die Führung nicht gefallen hat. Es wäre für uns sehr wertvoll gewesen, zu erfahren an welchem Tag/Uhrzeit Sie mit uns auf der Tour waren um der Sachlage nachgehen zu können. Wir haben unterschiedliche Stadtrundfahrten woebei die klassische, 2 1/4-stündige Fahrt CHF 34.- kostet. Das mag natürlich im internationalen Vergleich recht teuer sein aber das ist die Schweiz leider grundsätzlich. Dass dann die Leistung absolut stimmen muss, sind wir uns bewusst und wir unternehmen sehr viel um unseren Gästen immer ein tolles Erlebnis zu gewähren. Unsere Reiseleiter sprechen alle sehr gut Englisch und wir haben diesbezüglich eigentlich nie Reklamationen. Es ist so, dass der Zeitplan auf der Tour vorgegeben ist um möglichst viel zu sehen. Auf der zweistündigen Stadtrundfahrt ist kein offizieller Toilettenstopp vorgesehen, es stehen aber zwei öffentliche Toiletten am am Fraumünsterplatz zur Verfügung. Wenn nun aussergewöhnlich viele Gäste die Toiletten besuchen müssen, kann unter Umständen nicht auf alle gewartet werden da ansonsten der Stadtbummel nicht mehr durchgeführt werden könnte. In diesem Fall müssten die Gäste die Gruppe ca. 200 Meter entfernt, auf der Münsterbrücke treffen wo der Reiseleiter einen ersten Stopp macht um die Altstadt zu erklären. Wir würden uns selbstverständlich freuen, Sie wieder einmal auf einer unserer Touren begrüssen zu dürfen um Sie zu überzeugen, dass unsere Touren grundsätzlich über eine sehr hohe Qualität verfügen. Dear Mary Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. It's good to hear that in general you did like the tour. We definitely will take in mind your recommendations in the future planning of our tours. What is definitely not correct, is that our tour does not bring the guests back to the starting point. After the walk in the old town the bus drives back along the Limmatquai to the starting point where the tour officially ends. Although often guest decide to stay directly in the old town to have lunch or make some shopping on the famous Bahnhofstrasse. Could it be that there was a misunderstanding and he though you prefer staying in the old town? I think that was also the reason why you found the tour short as you “missed” the drive back to the starting point. I’m very sorry that this happened and apologize for this. I hope, the good memories of the tour remain, and it would be a pleasure to welcome you back one day in our beautiful town. Best regards
