I’ve been visiting a lot of art museums in different countries. I realized that the quality of your experience really depends on how the information is transmitted to you. I spent a great time in Van Gogh museum not only by enjoying masterpieces of this artist, but also because of the inspiring and knowledgeable guide Ewald , who talks with passion about the subject he loves. Original facts, interesting stories and pleasant memories - all these you can find on this tour! Highly recommended!

My favorite part of the tour by far was our tour guide Anna Nikolaeva. She was by far the best tour guide we have had. Anna not only displayed exceptional knowledge on the the specific subject matter of art we were looking at but, also understood deeper meanings of why pieces are the way they are comparing techniques, artists, material and much more. She was not simply a "tour guide" she was an educator, scholar, and enthusiast who happened to be giving the tour. She took the time previously to look up details that would be impossible to see from the naked eye and showed them to us on physical materials she brought so that we could see and appreciate these details.
We had the pleasure of having Anna Nikolaeva on both of our tours and they were the best tours we have ever had of a museum. It was very obvious she loves what she does, is very educated on the pieces, and wants to teach you about the art so that you may appreciate and understand them at a higher level. Next time anyone goes to Amsterdam Art Museums, ask for Anna Nikolaeva. You will NOT be disappointed!

Because we were only visitors signed up we serendipitously received a private tour. Communication was a bit sketchy at the beginning but unsure whether it was our fault or not as we did not have cell service but did have WFi and did not know if our guide received our text message through WhatsApp which was an option. It was a bit of a challenge finding the meeting place as we were not sure how to identify our guide but thankfully it all worked out.

The narrative Victoria provided by the guide went far beyond the info provided in the self-directed audio guide we used in a visit a few years ago.

Cecelia was the perfect guide though our tour of the 17th century Dutch Masters. She was very friendly and informative and the small group format was perfect for asking questions and learning about the art. The Rijksmuseum is magnificent and massive so if you really want to explorer it thoroughly, you should plan to take more than one trip there.

Had a very informative 2 1/2 hours with our guide
Cecelia. She was terrific. She knew her history, guided us thru with expert manor to get close to paintings, and wasted no time. Very personable! I
Feel this is the way to visit a museum. I felt interested to study more of the Dutch history!

Anna provided an excellent and interesting tour of the Rijksmuseum. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour and really enjoyed being able to ask questions and tailor it to our interests. Highly recommended!
