Easy experience
Easy experience, we hired 2 bikes for 2 hours plus insurance which worked out around €25.80. However we biked around vondelpark and to the Anne Frank house and back all within an hour so didn’t really need 2! Staff member was really helpful.

Bikes slightly worn, but did the job.
Hired two bikes for 24 hours. The bikes were very basic and slightly worn, but did the job. We did return one of the bikes after 5 minutes due break cable issues, which was swapped right away. Definitely recommend hiring a bike in Amsterdam, so much to see and all a short bike ride away.

It was really easy to book - in my case via I Amsterdam (card). for 24 h and Umberto and Nerida helped great. Quick check-in and also the return - everthing worked great. Thanks a lot as biking in Amsterdam is the easiest way to see the city. Thanks guys!

Bikes that did the job

Very busy with stressed staff at c1030 because the tours are getting kitted out so avoid if you can - go earlier or later.

Bikes good and appear well maintained. My wife's creaked a bit on the chain guard and the chain lock had wrong key - "oh yeh, we've had a few of those problems" was the response when we returned the bike. Not a problem for us but could have been and easy for the team to have checked.

Should GIve a Bit More Attention to Customer When Renting Bike

Bike seat kept falling down. When we picked up the bike, I asked how to adjust it, but the guy who gave me the bike said he did not have time to explain it to me and it was simple. It was not simple, and actually did not work properly. Also, we made an on-line reservation, and stood on the "on-line reservation" line for 10 minutes and then were told that we had to go to the back of the "no reservation" line because they were short-staffed. I realize this is a kind of mass production outfit, but think that the customer service could be improved a bit.

Jose was super helpful in accommodating us with the bikes. Even though it was super busy, he ensured we were given the bikes and gave us plenty of useful information about the bikes, the area itself. Had a really good experience with A-Bike rental. Just make sure to book a reservation as many people turned up on the day but did not get given bikes
