A fascinating visit, Diana was the perfect guide and gave us a real insight into the history of the area. Would definitely recommend this trip to those staying in Amsterdam or nearby.

Diana was truly wonderful and made our day in Amsterdam and Holland unforgettable. She is professional, highly knowledgeable, and has a deep connection to the Zaanse Schans region, as she lives there herself. Diana shared the history, traditions, and local insights in incredible detail—something you wouldn't experience exploring on your own or with other guides.
Visiting Zaanse Schans is a must when in Amsterdam! Just a 20-minute train ride from Amsterdam Central Station, we spent a delightful half-day exploring the area, enjoying some local food after bidding farewell to Diana. And who wants to miss the opportunity to see iconic windmills, learn how clogs are made, and taste local cheeses?
If you're considering a tour, Diana is your top choice. This tour is an absolute highlight! 😊

Not the best day to choose to do this trip as the weather was frightful however, Diana met us with a lovely friendly open smile and made our day a joy. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and was lovely to see she was local and knew everybody. Was well worth booking with her - next time we will do it in Spring or summer

The tour was a beautiful experience and Diana was the best tour guide anyone could ask for. She passed on her knowledge and history of everything we saw and I would 100% recommend doing this tour.

Tour guide Diana made this visit to Zaanse Schans the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. She was friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable of the local area and made sure that everyone in the group had their individual interests met. Although there were large bus tours also visiting the village Diana knew how to avoid the crowds while visiting the cheese and clog factories. After an informative tour we were able to browse the area at our leisure and were given simple instructions on how to return to Amsterdam city centre. I would definitely recommend this tour if visiting Amsterdam.

Our tour guide, Diana, helped to make this tour special. It was not a tour bus tour, it was smaller and we used the train for transport. Therefore, it was more efficient and felt more personal. Diana knew how to help us avoid large crowds and kept things flowing at a good pace. The town is lovely- definitely a tourist stop, but still quaint and a good breather outside the city of Amsterdam. The history is interesting and the shops were cute but crowded. Overall, we did really enjoy it and were very glad we chose Diana’s tour!

Everything about Diana's tour is perfect! We did the 8am time slot, I was the only person in the end and I appreciated the kindness that the tour still went ahead anyway - my very own private tour! We met at Amsterdam Central station, Diana's communication and description before arriving was absolutely perfect. The train journey was a great way to chat and get to know one another, as we caught an early train we even did a little detour to another stop to see a beautiful house/hotel and then jumped on the next one. We missed all the crowds, Diana knows all the best routes to avoid the tour groups and she secured me a front row seat in every demonstration, she's built great relationships with the clog, cheese place etc. As a local to the area she has wonderful knowledge and adds colour and interesting stories to everything. Her explanation on how to get back was super simple and straightforward and enjoyed some additional time after the tour finished visiting inside the windmills, going into the museum, pancakes down by the river and a little shopping. Diana is not only a guide but passionate about travel herself so knows exactly what you're looking for from a day out and you get the best experience! Perfect blend of learning about the area and guide, and setting you up to be independent and enjoy your time afterwards. More tours like this should be around!

If you have very limited time to visit Zaanse Schans (ZS) trust Diana, our tour guide, to maximize your time from pickup at Amsterdam Central Station to visiting the main highlights at ZS. From pre-purchased train tickets, to planning the walking trail in ZS to avoid the bus tour crowds, to knowing when to enter the demo areas so that you have the place all to yourself and just a few other people - Diana will ensure your time at ZS is both fruitful and enjoyable. Never did we feel being herded from one place to another in a rushed manner like in most bus tours. Thank you, Diana - we even had time to do a 1hr canal cruise when we went back to Amsterdam Central Station prior to boarding our cruise ship.

Excellent tour! Diana is knowledgeable, patient and friendly. We met her at Central Station, which is very large. Her directions were good, and we were able to recognize her after seeing her photo on Tripadvisor. Windmills, cheesemaking, clogs, chocolate, and even a Stroop waffle! Lots of lovely little shops to tour. We enjoyed our tour very much!
