Even though I am familiar with The Hague, I found it pretty confusing, since the audio tour did not know about the renovations being made, for the next couple of years, to the Ridderzaal (The Knights Hall). The entrances and surrounding throughways were closed to the public. So all in all the tour was very disappointing. We had to retrace our steps to find the place where the tour would continue.

We turned on the audio tour and heard the first stop info..walked through the arches as directed where we heard stop #2 info and there was constuction preventing progression to #3...we attempted to work our way around the construction and never could find stop #3. We would like a refund...this is major long term construction. Was not a new thing.

Tours can be resumed from the nearest location so if you weren't able to make your way to stop 3, you could have skipped to stop 4 and continued from there.

This was great--an app-based GPS guided walking tour. Head to the starting point, pop in an earbud, hit play, and put away your phone. The end of each sound file gives you clear directions on where to walk next ("walk to the left of the gate, and walk down the street until you get to the bridge"). And then the next file plays when you get to the next location. This means you can pause wherever for as you'd like.
This was perfect for looking for a nice, informed walk around without needing to plan in the least.
I'm so glad I found it--it meant I could hop into The Hague for a few hours in the evening after all the tourist stops had closed and still get an informed experience!

Great idea and all very clear.
One current problem … the Binnenhof (Parliament old complex) is shut for refurb. This drives a coach and horse block through the itinerary. Not all is lost however. You can listen but not see and pick the physical tour up at the Fish Stack by the water … really recommend.

Definitely worth the price! The app had a great UI/UX (compared to other ones we’ve tried) and the orator is local and had a great vibe. I wish we could find one of this quality for every city we visit/have visited. I don’t think it was very kid friendly. We jumped in at the torture chamber and statue where the man was decapitated. It’s history, but definitely traumatized our kids haha. Great for us adults though

You can go at your own time, at your own pace, remain in any area longer if you wish. If you go the wrong way, the audio guide lets you know and tells you in which direction to walk. The GPS on the phone provides the MAP and walking directions.

This informative walking tour was a great orientation to the central streets and history of The Hague. Loved the convenience of walking at our own pace, when we wanted, and being able to linger and wander when we felt like. Hubby and I each downloaded the app and listened with our own ear buds, so the narration wasn't exactly in-sync, but it really didn't matter because the distances between the highlight were short and the commentary was fairly brief. It was clearly designed to be a quick overview, but left me wanting to know more! I wish there was a short version like this, but also the option for an expanded version with more details about the history, architecture, etc.
Felt like money and time well-spent and we will try another VoiceMap tour.
